03.01.2022 Today is World Oceans Day and this week is Sea Turtle Week To celebrate the wonderful ocean playground we all love to enjoy blueseventy Australia are getting behind Te Ara O Te Onu, a new organisation in the Cook Islands. We want to help them with some exposure and support them to get their message out. Both the green (endanger) and hawksbill turtles (critically endangered) lay their eggs in the Northern Islands of the Cook Islands where the temperature has risen in the san...d. This causes mostly female turtles to hatch. Te Ara O Te Onu are helping plant trees around these areas to cool the temperature down and this is just one area that a little change can make a big difference. Please follow Te Ara O Te Onu and their journey and get involved in the conversation to see how to best support the turtle population in their breeding areas.
