16.01.2022 Hi all Just putting out feelers to get thoughts on the possibility of a Spring BSF? Hi all Just putting out feelers to get thoughts on the possibility of a Spring BSF?

15.01.2022 Hmmm 21 slight breeze...sounds like a great day for A FESTIVAL in the hills!!! SEE YOU THERE!!!

14.01.2022 Waste audit... We took 4 yellow topped recycle bins, four green landfill bins and three compost bins to the BSF. Just over one green bin was filled. Almost 3 of the recycle bins were filled. We had one bucketful of compost...mainly coffee grouds and hardly any food waste (One apple core and one tea bag).... Reflections... A lot of the recycled stuff was generated by the festival set-up mainly signs. These were made by reusing cardboard from old boxes. A lot of space was taken up by boxes from the food vans. (Eg cool drink boxes). A significant amount was pizza boxes which could be avoided by bigger GO2CUP Plates. The public need educating on what is actually recyclable. There were compostable boxes, drink cups and soft plastic in the yellow topped bins. These things contaminate the recycled waste stream. In summary a great effort for our first attempt at a minimal waste festival. No emptying was required during the day and hardly any waste for landfill! Thank you, everyone!
