20.01.2022 Checking out a few fleeces today and i can not get over my handsom Prince at 4 months old, im so hoping he will be the very first certified Bluestone male for Bluestone Alpacas!!!

17.01.2022 So i got home today to find this beautiful boy stuck in the fence for however long, finally got him going after bringing him in because he wasn't due till the e...nd of the month but is now feeding well from mum without much assistance. 16.01.2022 Since the beginning of lockdown, our members have seen a marked increase in enquiries from people interested in buying alpacas as pets. Whilst alpacas are gent...le, intelligent and very cute, they do require certain conditions in order to stay healthy and happy. The most important thing for alpaca welfare is that they are kept as part of a herd - three or more animals of the same sex. This means that if something happens to one herd member, the others still have company. It reduces the likelihood of stress related illnesses, which can be fatal. And it means that males (even castrates) cannot pester females, resulting in unwanted pregnancies, injury, or worse. A reputable breeder will never sell a single alpaca to a home with no other alpacas, or a 'breeding pair' to be kept together.

Poppys... pregnant to the very astute black male Yaringa Blackwatch and Bucanera is pregnant to Yaringa Tarus a very handsome mid grey male. 13.01.2022 NSW Member of the week- Alison Bluestone Alpacas Hey all, my name is Alison Pongraz or as some may know me as Ally. I am the sole owner of Bluestone Alpacas loc...ated all the way over the other side of Western NSW just over the border from Mildura VIC. It's been nearly 5 years now since purchasing my first 5 alpacas. Currently my herd has 25 animals all up and more to come soon (ohhhh how i love babies haha). Here at Bluestone the main colours ive been focusing on breeding are top quality grey and black alpacas as well as some roans but have also recently been bitten by the appaloosa bug so hoping next season to build up the appy numbers with the next cria drop in 2021. As well as the breeding side of things and products which I also hope to produce soon is slowly working towards running farm visits/morning teas and education programs as well as possibly therapy programs too in the future where i can visit schools, nursing homes and the like, as there is one thing I have always noticed when it comes to people and alpacas and that is the amazing smiles they always manage to put on everyone's faces either when they hear of them or even better get meet them in person.

Unfortunately she alongside Isabel has badly contaminated her cria fleece too and i dont think ill be able to show ...her this year but at just under 8 moths old she is seriously impressive with excellent length, luster and uniformity. Lets see how she goes next year in making the show team, thats if she stops being a grot lol See more

03.01.2022 In my excitement from yesterday in checking out a few fleeces i thaught id duck out this morning and have another look at a few more. My little grot lol aka Isa...bel at just over 6 months old im very much liking what im seeing, its just a pitty shes utterly destroyed her cria fleece!!!! All in all after neary 6 years and so many hurdles since buying my first 5, im really happy to see that im finally getting somewhere with producing some good quality animals and being just 1 step after 1 step further into bringing a dream into reality!!!!

02.01.2022 Beautiful day to go and visit Bella & Onyx for there injections, and I have to say Bella has come such a long way with being handled she was a super star and i ...even got kisses from Onyx after she got her needle. Its fantastic to see how there lovley owners put so much love and attention with these 2 and its the best thing to see the ones who were once my babies go to such great homes. See more
