18.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS: Reopening Date & New Practitioner Joining The Team. THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR ..... WE'RE BACK BIGGER & BETTER AS OF 1ST MAY 2020. A recent government announcement allowing Remedial Massage Therapist to practice allows our plan of reopening on the 1ST MAY TO BE A GO!!!! All treatments will be available including ACUPUNCTURE, NATUROPATHY & REMEDIAL MASSAGE.... Obviously some extra precautions will be applied including: Adequate breaks between clients to allow for extra cleaning and to avoid multiple clients in the waiting room. Hand sanitiser is provided at reception. Front door will be closed and only opened for clients who have an appointment, to avoid crowding in waiting room. 03.01.2022 Introducing David Schievenin (Acupuncturist) As we say a sad farwell to Rory Davis as he heads back home to the Northern Territory we welcome David Schievenin to our Team. Bookings can be made via phone or online... David completed a double degree in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from Victoria University, including a placement at Shandong University TCM Hospital, in 2006 and a Master in acupuncture from Western Sydney University in 2012. He has practiced Chinese medicine (Chinese Remedial Massage) since 2002 and has operated his own practice as an registered practitioner since graduation. David held positions including Head of Department (Chinese Medicine) and Senior Lecturer at Endeavour College of Natural Health from 2010 to 2020, is serving his second term as a member of the Chinese Medicine Accreditation Committee, and has participated in the Regulatory Examination Development for the assessment of overseas practitioners reporting to the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA). Developing subjects and researching a variety of conditions, David has also presented twice at Australia’s largest annual Chinese Medicine conference (topic including Multiple Sclerosis and fertility). Implementing a balance of research-based practice and traditional Chinese medicine, David is results focused, working with patients to achieve their health goals ensuring clear communication, an approachable manner and understanding throughout. David has a special interest in conditions including musculoskeletal, acute/chronic pain, women’s health, mental health, headaches/migraines, allergic/respiratory and digestive using a variety of techniques to achieve results (acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and Chinese herbal medicine).
