14.01.2022 Finally home after a great start to the 2021 competition calendar for Cooramin Santinegro and I. After a few days training with our amazing coach; the incredibly talented Grace Kay, we rode our first Novice tests at the Hawkesbury Dressage Club competition at SIEC. Scarlett warmed up super for the 2A, but unfortunately Arena 10 was a little too spooky which made for a tense test with a moment where it even boiled over with a little buck in the canter She was much bette...r for her second test, coming away with a second place in the 2B. Still lots to improve on, her tension levels at comps being a biggie, but there are getting to be more and more moments where we can really feel the future FEI superstar in her which is super exciting!! After 4 days away from home and some really great training sessions, 1,500kms and 8 hours of travelling today alone, I really couldn’t be happier with my little Princess

12.01.2022 Today Cooramin Santinegro and I ventured south to the Alexander Park Dressage competition at Salt Ash. To say I’m pleased with Scarlett’s performance today would be an understatement, with second place in both the Open 1A and Open 1B against a very competitive field with scores of 75.1 and 74.5!! Thankyou to the committee for all their efforts in putting on a great show through these challenging times. 10.01.2022 It was another hot and humid day out yesterday for Scarlett’s last show of the year. Although she felt hot, tired and very much ready for a spell, we still managed to place in both our Open classes on scores of 70.5% and 78.3%! I’m so proud of how much she’s matured and improved in the past few months. We’ve crammed a lot into her first real prep in quite a short space of time, and travelled more kms than I care to think about, and although we’ve had a few young horse momen...ts along the way, overall she’s handled it all like a total professional. Home for a well deserved holiday over the summer now for my sassy but very tired little red head, before gearing up for what will hopefully be another successful competition season next year. Thankyou as always to my coach Grace Kay for all the wisdom and the laughs along the way. Can’t wait to get back into it next year!

08.01.2022 Some days you just need to laugh it off and keep going! Scarlett decided it was about time she reminded me she’s still just a baby and some days it’s all a bit much for her! So I spent the day eating humble pie... and trying not to get bucked off But we made it through both tests and even had some really lovely moments in our warm up, and of course it’s been a huge learning curve for her and I’m sure she’s going to have matured a whole lot from the whole experience, s...o although we didn’t win the class, we still won the day in my books Huge thankyou to Rachael Downs for coming to my rescue and helping me get down the hill and into the warmup, and for the kind words of encouragement and support. Quite literally saved my butt!!

04.01.2022 Yesterday my special mare Cooramin Santinegro and I ventured out to the Tamworth Dressage Club’s Training Competition. Due to Prelim entries being full, we decided to step things up instead of missing out, riding the Novice 2C for an unexpected result and winning the class with a 74.7% !! As always, I have to thank my 2 coaches; long standing coach and friend Ann Slatford, and the ever so talented Grace Kay. And thankyou to Ashbree Saddlery for their support ... I can’t speak highly enough of this special mare I have the honour of being on this journey with. Every day is a blessing Very exciting things ahead! Cooramin Sporthorses
