24.01.2022 Holiday dreaming!#Hawaii

22.01.2022 This #WorldOceansDay we asked some of our favorite female creatives to share one of their standout moments from the sea and why: I remember us all walking up t...o the spot before sunset trying to decide if it was worth going out since it was so small and inconsistent. The girls finally did and I was able to capture this particular moment between #rosiejaffurs and the ocean that I cherish. Rosie has such a beautiful gift of harmonizing with whatever the ocean gives her. I think it's a great lesson for not just how we perceive the ocean but life in general. So many days we're given pretty meager waves to work with, but that should never stop us from seizing the opportunity to create something beautiful. After all, life is mostly just a collection of those small moments. #roxface See more

06.01.2022 Join MAMA Director Bree Pickering and guest judge Elias Redstone as we share the exciting news of this year's National Photography Prize award recipients. With... a $30,000 first prize, and $5000 fellowship to be awarded, 12 finalists from around Australia have been patiently awaiting this news. Although the live announcement event we originally planned needed to be replaced with a video, we're thrilled to be reopening the museum tomorrow (1 June), and have extended the exhibition of finalists until Sunday 14 June to give our community a chance to see the works in person. We hope you enjoy this little snapshot of the exhibition, and meeting our two award winners. Congratulations! Video: The Felis Co

05.01.2022 How’s this for a bit of Aussie nostalgia? This sweet May Gibbs illustration was commissioned in 1919 for a public health warning about the Spanish Flu, in which... nearly 12,000 Australians died. Soldiers returning from the First World War and infected people were quarantined, wearing masks in public places was made compulsory, schools were closed, many public activities were banned or restricted and pharmacy prices were regulated.
