18.01.2022 Well what a great day for Bluewater and their terrific new partner, Central Queensland University. After signing an agreement in November '17, we have patiently waited for notification of new flight training students from the unversity. They have had a process to follow to ascertain whether or not the students who had applied to do either Bachelor of Aviation, Associate Degree of Aviation of Graduate Diploma of Aviation would meet the study criteria. Well today we were given ...works orders for three students, the first of which start in a few days, and we couldn't be happier for them or us. We've said it before, THE SKIES THE LIMIT, but for these three, and the many more to come, this statement couldn't be truer. Well done people, we can't wait to meet you and welcome you into our flight training environment!

I guess being the only flight school in Townsville that is actually on the airport has helped our numbers. 03.01.2022 We would like to praise the work of one of our senior pilots who showed great talent and expertise in setting down a company aircraft after it suffered engine trouble during a relocation flight earlier today. The pilot, who has asked not to be identified, is an extremely experienced and well qualified aviation professional and his handling of the incident is a testament to his abilities and professionalism. The pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft and has now been rele...ased from hospital with only minor injuries. The safety of our employees and clients is our single highest priority. We will be diligently investigating the incident to identify the cause and providing a report of our findings to the relevant authorities. The focus of our investigation will initially be on the engine, a Lycoming O320-E2D which was half way into its rated service life. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been contacted and has elected not to investigate the incident. We would also like to thank the work of Townsville Air Traffic Control and the emergency services for their assistance. Whilst they thankfully had little to do, it was very reassuring that these services were so expeditiously and appropriately deployed in response to the incident.

02.01.2022 So good to see our CQU students, Steven Li and Shawn Griffiths, getting right into their flying training. They are racking up the hours and from all reports from their instructor, are ahead of the game.
