25.01.2022 Welcome 2018! We are experiencing some hot days in TNQ (Tropical North Queensland) at the moment, but the lovely wisps of breeze felt here on the marina are most welcome (I have no complaints from my air-conditioned office). Occupancy is High but we are always keen to make room for one more.... The picturesque view over looking the marina from the restaurant is something to behold, so why not come and enjoy a cold one on the deck. We hope to see you down here soon to check out our many facilities.

25.01.2022 It's official! New Bluewater Hotel coming to the Bluewater Marina! Full details and plans to come shortly but we are excited to announce and welcome the Bluewater Hotel team to our community!

24.01.2022 Direct access to the Great Barrier Reef and some of the best fishing opportunities in Cairns

23.01.2022 This morning I have been given an education. Swimming around my office are all sizes of Flat Worms, centipede like creatures. Apparently they are about to sporn (Oh goodie, more of them). Unless they were pointed out to me I would have just assumed they were leaves floating on the water. Fascinating!

21.01.2022 We have seen some extreme tides this week. Tomorrow is the peak at about 9am. I have some photos but couldn't find a way to post them, sorry you'll have to come and take your own. My little office has been rising and falling each day, lucky I don't get seasick.

21.01.2022 Sorry we are advising the marina is FULL and we can not take in any more boats at this time.

20.01.2022 Just letting all interested parties know that the public boat ramp is finally completed (in time for the school holidays), yay!

20.01.2022 CALLING ALL KIDS!! We are pulling a Bluewater team together for the 2014 IRONKIDS Cairns Triathlon on the 7th June. There will be only 20 placements available i...n our group and we will cover the registration costs and singlets. We will also put together a training group to help the kids through training for the event. The kids don't need to be winners they just need to have fun, so if you are interested in registering your kids under the Bluewater team let us know. Bluewater residents will get first placements so get the word out! More information will be coming out shortly. To register your interest please PM us. See more

17.01.2022 Hasn't the weather been glorious! We had a little excitement (& giggle) looking out of our office window last week. A car had to be rescued off the boat ramp when it backed further than anticipated and only it's roof was left visible. Channel 7 even appeared to interview witnesses. Never dull for long at Bluewater Marina.

16.01.2022 Did you know the Bluewater Marina is one of the region’s only cyclone-rated marinas with deep-water access?

13.01.2022 What an eventful couple of weeks! We have been experiencing extreme temps, gusty squalls in conjunction with super high tides. One day I was nervous my little office may float away from the marina, it was rocking and shackles clanking so aggressively. Dogs haven't been able to go for walks as the ground was scorching their little paws. I have had some frequent visitors to my office to enjoy the air conditioning. This week the temperatures have eased a little, it still might seem hot to visitors but for us locals it's a welcome reprieve.

13.01.2022 Well thank goodness cooler weather has blown our way. I can't believe Sydney has had higher temps than us. We have had a few new entries to the marina this week and many interested in joining us here in paradise. Who's enjoyed a coldie on the deck yet?

13.01.2022 ^BR Merry Christmas & wishing you a happy & safe holidays

13.01.2022 Looking for some free, local activities to entertain the kids these school holidays? Look no further!

12.01.2022 We had our first little shake up last night with the remnants of Cyclone Owen. The marina is currently floating in what looks like chocolate milkshake but nothing major to report. Occupancy is high for the wet season, with some large catamarans taking refuge here.

11.01.2022 If you live in a marina you will understand! This is from an anonymous Bluewater Marina tenant expressing life in a marina - Lov It

11.01.2022 App your way through the reef!

10.01.2022 No wonder Cairns is so popular in Winter, look at this glorious day in paradise. The boat ramp was like a busy highway, both here and at Yorkey's Knob before sunrise on Saturday. Every boat owner keen to take advantage of the calm seas before the winds picked up again. We hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend on the water.

10.01.2022 Some pictures of the extreme tides.

07.01.2022 Bluewater Marina facilities include CCTV security cameras, parking, showers and laundry facilities, nearby access to a boat ramp, all ideally located next door to The Bluewater Bar & Grill

07.01.2022 It's on it's way!!!!!!

06.01.2022 Call all kids! We want your kids to join our Bluewater Ironkids Team. Contact us in the office today and we can email you out the details 0740556040.

06.01.2022 Well finally, the 'Wet Season' has come to an end. Although we experienced large volumes of water running past our little marina and collecting some debris we can be thankful for not having any cyclones this year. Currently, the occupancy on the Marina is very high. With the threat of strong winds subsiding we expect to see some berths vacated in the near future. We are located in such a beautiful spot, if you can experience it in the morning when the sun is rising and all is tranquil you will benefit from it for the rest of the day. We do have a cafe here where you can order your morning starter beverage and take in the view on the timber deck. See you soon!

05.01.2022 The public boat ramp doesn't seem to be getting the use it did before it's new makeover, so I thought I'd just spread the word that it's open for business. I also noticed a camera has been installed over in the public carpark where everone is encouraged to leave their cars and trailers, that should make it easier to leave your car unattended while you Zip out to the reef and go snorkelling or fishing. Earl Hill has been getting a much anticipated new walking track. If you h...aven't been up there, now's the time while the temperature is down because the view to Double Island is well worth it. Everything is going well on the Marina, we are still fairly full though there are a few getting stocked and ready to head off on their next adventure. The entrance to Bluewater from the creek is being dredged at the moment, which should make access easier. Take care on the water.

04.01.2022 The New Bluewater Hotel coming soon! http://thebluewaterhotel.com.au/home/

03.01.2022 Time to tie down all. Take care & listen to warnings

03.01.2022 A whale of a time http://www.cairnspost.com.au//flippin-loads-of-whales-to-s

02.01.2022 There is always something happening down on the marina. I just followed a Greater Grey Heron (about 120cm tall) along A Finger. I have noticed many different varieties of fish around lately, considering it is lunch time, I wonder which one's it's favourite. It must be a healthy waterway for big birds like that to be hanging around.

01.01.2022 There hasn't been much fluctuation in the tides lately, fairly low all the time (bit boring!). Mornings have been rather fresh for us northerners (low 20's). The perfect conditions appear to keep the crowds coming to the club for lunch and a social drink, it's a magnificent spot in the sun anytime. Occupancy is good, sitting around 85% with a few larger yachts and catamarans casually popping in as they travel along our picturesque coast.
