19.01.2022 (WATCH IN HD) Walk to the lighthouse 2018 August 11th, 3pm, Dalrymple Point Bowen... The seas will part once again for the annual reef walk to the historic lighthouse. Tour operator Whitsunday Paradise Explorer will be assisting visitors by boat to and from North Head Island for a small fee and you can book in advance. In the middle of all that, Steve from Bowen Seachange has been hard at work adding bigger decks to our Garden rooms. ... Looking good Steve!

We now have push bikes, fishing gear and snorkel equipment for any of our guests to use - free of charge. ... Tip... because Bowen is so flat, seeing the sights around the area on a bike is a lot of fun!

13.01.2022 Holiday tip. When visiting a new holiday spot try something different... Check out the local Museum. It’s fascinating what hidden gems you may find! The volunteer staff usually have a wealth of local knowledge they are willing to share too. ... The Museum here in Bowen even holds memorabilia from the filming of the movie Australia. A large part of the movie was shot right here on the foreshores. Plenty of local yarns about that one ! Have you been to any Museums you would recommend?

02.01.2022 Massive weekend here at the motel! Two bike groups booked in on the same day. The Mad Hogg’s from Mackay rode in on their Harley Davidsons and the Pelicans on Posties. (a charity ride raising money for Biala Special School, Ballina NSW. ) ... they were on Postie bikes.... ... I will let you picture it...

01.01.2022 ...........News Flash!! ........ Bowen is soon to be invaded. We currently have HS Blue Crew from the Royal Australian Navy staying with us. They are conducting preliminary environmental studies of Kings Beach. ... Some time in May /June, Bowen will have several ships off shore. There will be a ‘training’ landing from those ships using landing craft, drive off vehicles and personnel. There may even be a follow up day next year, with some US ships joining in.. Stay tuned for updates!
