09.01.2022 Some Christmas Messages from our Residents........

09.01.2022 if you have not already done so, please consider following the link below and signing the petition. The more signatures we get, the better! We need our federal politicians to take notice of the challenges we are facing (in line with the RC report), and not continually brush us aside as they have done in the past. This is critical in the lead-up to the May Federal Budget, which will be the clear turning point as to how this industry will be funded moving forward. For the ...past 20 years (and most notably for the last 10), successive governments (Liberal and Labor) have failed to respond to the needs of our industry, despite a plethora of reports undertaken and this is clearly highlighted throughout the Royal Commission report. It is now time for both major parties to acknowledge and respond to the challenges we face. The industry needs to be appropriately resourced to ensure high-quality care for our elders is sustainable and deliverable for our future. www.careaboutagedcare.org.au

01.01.2022 17th December, 2020 Dear Resident, Family and Friends, I am writing to provide another update for BlueWave in relation to COVID-19. We have received updated advice from NSW Health yesterday which we have now reviewed.... I am pleased to advise residents may now receive more than 2 visitors at a time. Whilst there is no cap on the number of visitors, we still do need to be mindful and compliant with NSW Health guidelines around social distancing. Please be mindful and respectful of this. Visitors must still only visit their loved ones in care in their private rooms, or in another designated area as directed by staff, such as a private outdoor space. Visitors are not to use any common areas where other residents are present. All visitors are required to check in via our QR code system (via your smart phone), which includes a declaration, or they must complete a manual declaration upon entry. This process includes having a temperature taken on entry. We continue to encourage family to take their loved ones out for family gatherings or lunches as an option. Our reception opening hours are 9am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. For weekends and public holidays, it is 10:30am to 3:30pm. We do hope the current situation remains unchanged until vaccines are rolled out nationally, however we are mindful of how quickly things can change should there be a breach in our international border controls. It is very easy to forget how much the rest of the world are still struggling with COVID-19 and the devastating impact it is having. Thank you all for your on-going support and patience whilst we continue to work through these challenging times. Best wishes to all for the festive season and continue to stay safe. Yours sincerely, Matt Downie CEO

01.01.2022 All visits are still to take place in residents’ rooms or allocated areas for shared rooms, not communal areas. Only two visitors per resident. All visitors are required to provide evidence of flu vaccination and sign in with the QR code before entering the facility.... We thank you all for your assistance during this time.
