22.01.2022 Our idea of the perfect way to spend these wild and woolly days! Thanks to our son Mitch for making us this locally sourced redwood bath tray. PS - You’ll find this gorgeous freestanding bath in The Cottage. ... #seesouthaustralia #southaustralia #bikeMelrose #flindersranges

16.01.2022 It is so nice to see guests continuing to travel to our region to relax and recharge during these challenging times. Activities which have always attracted visitors, including hiking, mountain biking and sightseeing can still be safely enjoyed. Maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene is always our priority but we have implemented additional preventative measures to ensure the safety of our guests. We can guarantee these steps are followed as being a family... operated business we undertake all of the cleaning ourselves!! Advice and restrictions regarding COVID-19 are constantly changing and we are happy to be flexible if you need to change or cancel your booking, without any financial penalty. Stay healthy and look after each other. Lisa and Darren

14.01.2022 Reviews like this, from one of our recent guests, is the perfect reward for all of our hard work!

14.01.2022 We have been using our 'Covid time' wisely here at Bluey's, by focusing on what is really important to us when we get to the other side. Taking care of our wonderful environment has always been a priority, and we have been looking at the ways we can reduce our carbon and environmental impact within our business. ... For starters, we use solar electricity to power washing machines and driers, rain water is collected and used for all hot water supplies in our accommodations and storm water run off is redirected to a man made creek within our large gardens. We choose not to provide overpackaged, mini toiletries which end up in landfill and we don't throw out partially used rolls of toilet paper (a precious commodity at the moment!!). ... Everything we do as individuals and businesses helps to improve the health of our planet. We will continue to update you on this space. We'd love to hear any suggestions on where we can improve next! ... ... Music: www.bensound.com

12.01.2022 What does Mum want most for Mother's Day? A warm hug from her family. But when this isn't possible the next best thing is a gift voucher for an experience to remember. In the current climate, we've extended our gift vouchers to be valid for 18 months, so there is plenty of time for Mum to take a break! ... 08.01.2022 With Jarrah floorboards, a spiral staircase and an upstairs bathroom overlooking the native garden, we always knew The Loft was a pretty special piece of Blueys. 05.01.2022 We would like to introduce you to William (Bluey) Blundstone pictured third from the right - who kindly still lends his name to our property, although over 100 years have passed since his death. Bluey was born in Derby, England in 1833 and became a blacksmith by trade. At the age of 22 he sailed to Australia with his wife Martha aboard the 'Grand Trianon'. Bluey and Martha had 6 children but sadly their first born died at sea from malnutrition and two of their children,...
