23.01.2022 John and I can’t thank you enough for saving our home and the Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park. It’s a pretty special feeling to be at home this morning...I wasn’t sure that would every be, despite your insistence that you’d all save our properties. You are the most wonderful people. Thank you our many friends, neighbours and community members and those wonderful people that came from afar ....the legendary volunteer fire fighters, thank you DFES your efforts were commendable, DPAW and our local rangers, RRT great job guys and girls and for all the people that coordinated extra food, that was incredible....well done the ongerup and Borden teams and Gnowangerup and Albany teams. Happy New Year 2020. Let’s ski !!!

19.01.2022 Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park will remain closed for now. The fire risk is very high. Many thanks to our local volunteer firefighters and Dfes who continue to backburn and battle blazes to contain the fire in the Stirling Ranges

16.01.2022 Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park will remain closed today due to extreme fire risk. Bluff Knoll , Mt Trio and the whole Eastern End of the Stirling Range National Park are closed. Listen to ABC radio, visit the DFES site for further details and road closures.

16.01.2022 Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park have erected a Ford Major Tractor complete with skis at the base of the Stirling Ranges near Mt Trio. Called Snowy the tractor is the latest instalment as part of the Gnowangerup Horsepower Highway. An amazing new tourist route which will see people travelling through Gnowangerup and adjacent shires. More and more tractors are appearing along the Gnowangerup route. Snowy was resurrected from bush at Amelup Estate farm and kindly donated. Fo...rd Majors have actually been known to have skis on the front and we’re used for logging in thick snow areas of America. Snowy is there to highlight the many attributes of the Stirling Ranges from the beautiful farming countryside, the magnificent wildflowers in the area to the infrequent snow events on Bluff Knoll. Already Western Australians flock to the Stirling Ranges Highest peak to experience snow and experience the Bluff Knoll Ski Club HQ at the Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park. The ski Club is the only one in the entire state of Western Australia and now Snowy is the only tractor with skis in the State.
