25.01.2022 ABK Reward Days are for Awesomely Behaved Kids!! And today our students were treated with their very own Sideshow Alley! Our Year 5’s and 6’s have been busy researching, selecting and constructing these cool and super fun games. Well done everyone!!!

25.01.2022 Happy International Week of the Deaf! Today Room 14 enjoyed learning the basics of AUSLAN - Australian Sign Language. A fun and rewarding experience, knowing they could better connect and communicate with their hearing impaired peers and other members of their community Thank you Mrs Linfitt and Mrs Passi!

25.01.2022 What another fantastic Music Count Us In This year’s song You Won’t Bring Us Down’... a fitting title for the year we have all endured... was sung simultaneously with hundreds of thousands of school children from all over Australia. Not only did our students enjoy the singing, they also loved signing to the Auslan version of the song, performed live by students from the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children Thomas Pattison School in NSW. It was also exciting to see ...two of our Midwest schools involved in this years’ event. Well done to Waggrakine and Beachlands Primary Schools who worked with Bundiyarra to prepare a Wajarri language version of the song for their performance. Yamatji Elders Graham Taylor and Gloria Fogarty shared Yamatji knowledge and stories of the Bimarra to the students, and now thousands of students throughout the country know it too! #MCUI2020

20.01.2022 Set goals. Work hard. Never forget where you came from, always know where you are going. This is the message retired Fremantle Dockers legend, Antoni Grover, shared to our Year 5 & 6 boys today. Having played 202 AFL games over 14 seasons for Freo, Antoni and the boys enjoyed an important conversation about how sacrifices and commitment can help us to live the life we want to live. Thank you to Adrian Bartlett from @GeraldtonSportingACGsac and Aaron Thomas from Chapman Valley "Royals" Football Club for organising Antoni's visit today

14.01.2022 Our amazing AIEO Mrs Barbara Dalgety, has been awarded 2020 GRAMS NAIDOC Elder of the Year Congratulations Barb!!! Thank you for all that you do for our school and community Barbara has been nominated for this award for her dedication of nurturing and guiding students of Bluff Point Primary School to reach their Educational potential for the past 35 years in her role as the Aboriginal Islander Education Officer. Mrs Dalgety as she is fondly called at BPPSS can be f...ound in The Eagles Nest (AIEO’s office), each morning with her fellow AIEO’s preparing for the day ahead. Mrs Dalgety has been an important link between the Aboriginal and School communities She has assisted many programs and supported strategies to grow the Aboriginal Cultural within the school such as; NAIDOC Week, forming the Diji Boys group, Reconciliation events, and many more. Mrs Dalgety efforts were recognised when she won the AIEO of the Year in 2017. This award is a Department of Education state award. Acknowledging and recognising the work AIEO’ s do within their schools. During her time Mrs Dalgety has watched the growth and development of children, who are now parents and some grandparents sending their family members to BPPS. Some of the Parents and Caregivers are surprised when enrolling their family members, to still see Mrs Dalgety at the school. This would also give them a sense of family as she once taught them. Barbara is very content with her role. She is a quiet achiever and would never want any fuss over her as she is just doing her job. Barbara loving caring wife to her husband Ralph. A wonderful mother to her three children Kelvin, Milton and Makeesha. And The World’s Best Grandmother and Great Grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
