22.01.2022 Blume Contributor & Black & Blue artist Beth Norling Illustration and Design has an exhibition opening on October 10th at Shoalhaven Regional Gallery! Congratulations Beth! "The Collector’s Daughter (situated in the East Gallery) is an assemblage of found object, drawings, sculpture, and sound; a time capsule created to honour what has been a difficult year for us all."

14.01.2022 Black & Blue 2 finished up at the end of this week, on the 27th September. If you haven't been yet, you simply must! You'll be able to grab a copy of Blume at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre while you're there to accompany your journey through the exhibition. Below is an image of a book that was the inspiration for one of the Black & Blue artworks by James Gordon. There is also a piece about it in Blume Illustrated titled "With Palette & Shotgun"

13.01.2022 In this globalised age, it is often difficult to connect directly with physical evidence of times past. Artists in the Black and Blue 2 group are uniquely placed to create much needed cultural impact by turning their collective visionary talents to the important job of responding to a rich, but sometimes troubled social and environmental history. In the unique surrounds of our Blue Mountains home, this history is evidenced in a relatively intact post-colonial infrastructure and our astonishing pre-colonial social history and natural environment. - Faye Wilson 2020 Artwork by Beth Norling Illustration and Design and can be found in Blume Illustrated and at the Black & Blue 2 Exhibition at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre

10.01.2022 It's a beautiful day to head up to Katoomba. It's chilly but the sun's out! Take refuge from the wind inside the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre and check out Black & Blue 2 on its last weekend. You can also some coffee there as well as browse the Cultural Centre shop, where some of our Blume artists are featured!... Here's a sneaky peak at an amazing piece by James Gordon. Some of his marvellous intricate paper creations are available in the shop at the BMCC.

07.01.2022 "Grimley's Subdivision is an animated piece I created using an 1883 parish map of Cook County (including Katoomba area) for Black & Blue 2 on now at BMCC Cultural Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Gallery Katoomba. The loop is projected over three antique christening gowns on loan from Mount Victoria Museum. The exhibition runs till September 27. Thanks to Cindi Drennan from Illuminart for her help with the 3d mapping of the project." - Faye Wilson
