18.01.2022 Welcome to my studio, my beautiful mess! I'm Dom, florist, mess maker, lover of romantic blooms and pretty things. Some Dom facts for your Thursday I have 4 beautiful children, no matter how demanding my job can be at times, nothing compares to motherhood. The days are long, the years are short and the love is next level. The first thing my husband ever said to me was 'Domaney, that's not even a real name'. He's also the sweetest piece of ass I've ever met and brings ...me coffee in bed daily. I hit the hubface jackpot, which is kinda funny because his name is Jack. Blush + Bloom was born in 2015, on maternity leave after #4 I needed to do something for me, but could only do weekends so I started setting up and styling weddings which led to floristry and many long hours in my garage working around my children's needs. Fast forward to 2020, with all bambinos in school, it was time to open my studio. Best. Day. Ever. I grew up in Busselton and I couldn't think of a better place to live with my family. Except maybe our own island with a chef and a maid, but you know, Rona. Millicent is our cat, she thinks we're better friends than we actually are... the kids adore her so we make it work. Clearly doesn't mind a bit of pink. Clearly doesn't mind a bit of chocolate. Can. Dance. All. Night. I love that people have visited the studio and commented on the warm, positive feel of the space. I love that the welcoming atmosphere often leads to brief exchanges of life stories between women, complete strangers, in a matter of minutes. The only thing missing is more hugs, but again, Rona. Loves a laugh. And tiktok. I love my 'job' and sometimes I feel really lucky to have Blush + Bloom, my 5th baby, then I remind myself I worked my butt off, and continue to do so, so I deserve this success. Then I remind myself that as the owner of this business I need to step away from motherhood and go in early tomorrow to clean, do some bookwork and create an entire weddings flowers before heading home to resume motherhood. There is loads of love in everything Blush + Bloom, from the weddings to the studio, theres no way it could be what is is without it See more
