24.01.2022 Lady in red It’s finally formal season!! I mean I’m just glad we got here and formal can still go ahead - yes of course with some restrictions... This stunning Mirani gal had a show stopping red sparkling dress so of course the makeup had to be glam!! After all that’s what formal is all about We opted for a flawless base, soft glam eye with plenty of shimmer, Modelrock lashes for a touch of drama and a long lasting lip colour. What a combo?? I love it when clients send me pictures of the final product. It’s one part of my job that I don’t like. 16.01.2022 Just a little #throwbackthursday I was 7 months pregnant and feeling less than glam. I had struggled to find bikinis I actually liked on me. I have no idea why I had signed up for it but I was off to a photoshoot with A H A V A H for The Just Saying Project Seas The Day body confidence project. I swiped on my favourite red lip took a breath and went for it. This photo isn’t even one of the photographers just a #selfie... And in this moment I have never felt more beautiful. As a mum these moments can be far and few between but I strive everyday to feel like this again. 13.01.2022 Lately I have been so focused on being a mum, dance teacher, keeping on top of the housework, prepping for burley gigs, fulfilling and delivering orders and crazy hectic with clients I have been neglectful as a wife. The niggly arguments, the snappy comments and the feeling of going unnoticed had started to creep in. I couldn’t even remember the last time we just hung out and really caught up. So last night the boys went to mum and dads house (thanks nanny and poppy) and we... got to enjoy a beautiful dinner date @tropicalphoenixrestaurant finished off with dessert from Baskin-Robbins Just a night where we could get back to what was important. 12.01.2022 R U OK? It’s ok to not be ok! This is something that I wish I had known many years ago. It was the year 2009 I had just got out of a toxic relationship ... I had turned into a bitter toxic person I had pushed family and friends away I had given up on things that use to make me happy I hated who I was - I couldn’t stand my own reflection I had completely lost my sense of worth But I thought I had to just be ok That there was no point talking about it I had to just suck it up Slowly but surely it just kept eating away at me, destroying my soul, making me empty Until I completely came undone I fell and didn’t think I could get back up. I didn’t feel like there was a point Then as I sat in the therapists office wondering how to keep a brave face and just say I’m ok it all came pouring out This voice I had been trying to silence for so long spilt the beans And all of a sudden I could breath. I felt like I could get back up again With support of amazing family and friends that’s exactly what I did. So if you are not OK it’s OK!! Speak up! And if you ever need a listening ear know that I will be there. No matter if we have been friends for years, barely know each other or we are family.
