22.01.2022 MONDAY CHORES I like to get up extra early on a Monday to try and trick myself into thinking it’s an exciting day (I said TRY! ) and also to get a head start on some of my little chores to make the week run more smoothly As well as watering my plant babies, doing a quick tidy of the couch cushions and chucking a load of laundry on, I also trim allll of my candle wicks ready for the week ... This is super important to extend the life of your candle and ensure you have a nice clean burn every time without too much carbon (the gross black stuff that sizzles and spits if your wick is too long!) How often do you trim your wicks...? 10.01.2022 ~TRIM THAT WICK~ It’s candle care time folks! Super important to make sure your wicks are trimmed to about 3mm to stop your candle giving off carbon and increase its life span! ... Tip: don’t get too keen with the trimming, if you over trim your candle, the wick can end up getting drowned by the wax and snuffing itself out! once every few days or after a long burn is fine!
