22.01.2022 Congratulations to Poppy’s wonderful groomer Mountain Hounds Dog Grooming who won a competition for best before and after pics of Poppy. Errand Mum’s take on it was: My goodness! Even Rebecca thought Poppy's before picture made her the best one to enter such a competition. So Poppy is the worst case she ever brings back to looking like a normal dog. And she wins, which cements the fact that Poppy is the most severe case in the whole competition! Never mind, at least she can... be made to look beautiful Grandmotherly love is blind

17.01.2022 Not having enough critters to care for, I’ve rented some goats from the lovely people at Dry Creek Farm Mudgee https://www.facebook.com/584420215249064/ to clean up my backyard. My cats are horrified, and Luna (who stays with me sometimes) is fascinated. The goats are largely indifferent to everything but the delicious feast of blackberry and jasmine, with the occasional nibble of agapanthus. The chomping sounds in the quiet morning are very soothing, and I find myself looking for tasty morsels in the rest of the yard that I can cut and throw over for them, which kind of defeats the purpose of having them there for the blackberry
