25.01.2022 Part 4 of the EAGLES Post-Season TRIVIA. Sticking to the run of the SIMS family and claiming flags we turn to the only player who has won a premiership in every grade for BMFC. Junior Colts - 1991. Senior Colts - 1993.... B Grade - 2009. A Grade - 1996, 1997, 2000. A great playing career, and this doesn’t even touch on his role as the Runner in several other flags! Well done MATT SIMS.

22.01.2022 EAGLES RE-SIGNING NEWS More good news for the club with the following players re-committing for season 2021. MADDY HAYES Our 3 x Best & Fairest winner, who missed the majority of last year with a broken wrist. Maddy will be like a new recruit in 2021, hopefully still running the glove. It’s good to have him, partner Lucy and parents Tina and Adrian returning to the club. THOMAS WHEELEN... Wheelo or Norm as he refers to himself returns after a great season in 2020 where he won the Best & Fairest and got Best On Ground in the Grand Final. We look forward to him replicating that in 2021. Welcome back Wheelo, partner Issy and parents Jan and Greg. MATT RAMSEY Ramma returns after another consistent campaign in 2020, his footy has gone from strength to strength, unlike his punting. We look forward to seeing Ramma taking his footy to the next level next year. We welcome him back along with partner Jaz and parents Jodie and Tim. HAMISH NITSCHKE Nitta comes back shooting for 4 flags in a row, we look forward to watching him sail those milky left footers through and providing highlights on and off the field. Welcome back Nitta, partner Soph and parents Jodie and Andrew. FRASER KESSLING + JORDIE Favourite son Fraser is looking forward to getting back onto the park after injury unfortunately meant he missed the majority of the 2020 season. We look forward to getting the big man back but more importantly getting Jordie back on the netball court. Welcome back Fras, wife to be Jordie and parents Averell and Anita. More resignings and new signings to come in the new year. Enjoy the festive season, stay safe and look after your mates

08.01.2022 Part 5 of the EAGLES Post-Season TRIVIA. Some incredible records featured so far but this one will be hard to beat. Senior Colt Max Marchant and his family only moved to Port Broughton from Darwin at the start of the year and he had never even kicked an AFL ball before. Coach Trev Sims talked him into playing and the rest is a club record. 17 games for 17 wins @ 100%, including a premiership.... Hopefully he puts this amazing record at risk and goes on next season. Club life member and living legend TREVOR SIMS improved his coaching resume by not just being the only person to coach every grade of footy for BMFC but he capped it off in the Senior Colts to make it a premiership in every grade too!
