21.01.2022 As we won't be fielding a team in 15s this year any under 15s boys looking for an opportunity to play AFL the Lions are looking for players. You can join a few ex Roos players...

20.01.2022 If you are interested in playing under 19s in 2021 we have received the following information on an opportunity to play. Program sounds great from discussions with Shannon. I know you would be welcomed and well supported. Under 19s 2021 We are committed to creating a competitive, relevant and successful Under 19s squad for the Sydney Football League 2021 Season.... Our goal is to keep players invested in the great game of AFL beyond their junior years in the Greater Western Sydney regions. With this in mind we respectfully ask that you express your interest to be part of this exciting initiative. Pre-Season training for the U19s squad will commence on Tuesday 3 November 2020 (details below). Under 17s are also more than welcome to attend the preseason sessions if they would like to improve their footy skills, understanding of the game and fitness at their respective clubs leading into season 2021 This is a great opportunity for you to get involved, ask any questions you might have, come and get to know your teammates. For more information contact Shannon Prenter 0404 447 423. Best Regards, Shannon

19.01.2022 Games will go ahead as scheduled this weekend. All Roos families are asked to follow protocols in place to assist both at Tom Hunter and all other grounds. 17.01.2022 Hi All, Thanks to all who have already registered for 2021, we look forward to seeing you at Tom Hunter Park soon! With the season fast approaching the Kangaroos are needing more players in Under 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14s and under 12 Girls. Players Old and New welcome. 15s and over we can put you in touch with the nearest teams.... We know it is a busy time of the year but if you are playing this year please register now at https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi If you are thinking of not playing this year - we'd ask you to consider giving AFL another year we really need you to come back so that we can form teams in all age groups. *To assist we have decided to make registration virtually free for 2021, all we are asking is that if you have an Active Kids Voucher that you supply the details of this voucher to the club. You can print this and bring to training or email through to [email protected] - there will be nothing more to pay, except if you need new shorts or socks which we will be selling at well below cost price to all players. If you have already registered and paid the full registration fee we are prepared to refund the difference or provide a merchandise pack - again valued at well above the $50 difference. If you have yet to register and already used your Active Kids Voucher then you play for free. In any situation - you can just go online and register - there will be no charges showing. WE JUST WANT YOU TO PLAY! Can you help us build teams - We need and would welcome more players - So, if you bring a friend to training, you will go in the draw for a signed 2020 Giants Football - get an extra entry for every friend you bring to training. If your friend then registers to play, you go into the draw for a $100 gift card of your choice (it could be more Kangaroos Gear, XBOX or a visa card whatever you ask for). These will be drawn at our first home game of the year. What have you got to lose, bring a friend for a kick and maybe win a prize. As always if you have any questions please ask, we want 2021 to be another fun year of footy, but we need your help. Cheers Dan Croucher President. --- Blue Mountains Kangaroos Junior AFL Club Club Phone 0447 695 006

06.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day and as a club we ask R U OK? 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. Its important for us all to know what to say when someone says theyre not OK and guide them through how they can continue a conversation that could change a life.... You dont have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says theyre not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before theyre in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their life. We as a club are here for you if you need, otherwise please reach out to these support lines.
