There are not many experienced referees from BMTA and beyond that don’t owe part of their success to the mentorship and guidance of Lou. 14.01.2022 Hello Referees, I hope that you and your families have all been managing okay through the last couple of months and are looking forward to returning to touch football at BMTA. It’s with much excitement that I can inform you we now have starting dates for all BMTA competitions and are very close to being back on the field. Below is a list of the start dates for all competitions to mark in your calendars, early indications are that team numbers will be strong, meaning its all ...hands on deck to ensure we can provide an excellent standard of refereeing as we have done in the past. - Adults Social (Mon-Wed): Starting week of July 27th - Junior Girls (Thurs): Starting July 23rd - Metro Cup (Fri): Starting August 21st - Junior Boys (Fri): Starting October 16th VERY IMPORTANT BLUE CARD INFORMATION: Due to updated Legislation, if you are over 18 years of age and are not complaint with BMTA’s blue card procedures, you will not be allowed to referee until you have lodged and had your Blue Card forms approved (this can take some time). If you do not have a Blue Card or applied through someone other then BMTA and have not done a linking form then please contact [email protected] ASAP We are still constantly receiving updated advice from QTF/TFA in response to Queensland Government’s latest announcements about exactly how the return to play looks in terms of updated safety measures and restrictions. I will be in contact again with more information as each competition start date gets closer but at this stage we are expecting most elements of Touch at BMTA to run as usual. 08.01.2022 Fantastic last training session for the JSC crew tonight. 17 referees will be attempting a level 3 or 4 upgrade next week in Harvey Bay, a lot of hard work has gone into the preparation and we can’t wait to see what the group can achieve!!
