24.01.2022 Dear Club Members, Thank you to John Oppermann for sharing footage of the 1956 Australian Grand Prix and the Tourist Trophy races at Albert Park circuit. Additionally, footage taken at the same time at Quorn Hall circuit out of Launceston, which was a disused WW2 airfield.... John notes that Halfway through at about 12 minutes, the Albert Park section starts and Stirling Moss is in the GP (Open Wheeler) car a Maserati 250F # 7 and Jean Behra is also in a 250F #1 and in the Tourist Trophy (Sports Car), Stirling Moss is in the Maserati 300S #7 and Jean Behra is also in a Maserati 300S # 6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYKjQtBAlMc Much appreciated John and we recognise your tremendous contribution to our club including 8 years as President. 16.01.2022 Dear Club Members, BMW Group Australia has requested BMW Clubs Australia and Member Clubs' support in notifying club members, members' family and friends and the wider community of a (further) national recall of BMW E46 3 Series vehicles of MY1997-2000 and production dates of 21 November 1997 to 30 June 2000. Affected sedan and coupe model variants :... sedans: 316i, 318i, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i coupes: 318Ci, 320Ci, 323Ci, 328Ci, 330Ci There are 12,663 affected vehicles. Owners of affected vehicles should stop driving their vehicle immediately and contact their local BMW dealership https://findadealer.bmw.com.au/ or call BMW Australias Takata Hotline directly on 1800 243 675 to organise their free urgent vehicle inspection. Full details on the recall, affected vehicle VIN and what owners need to do is available on the ACCC Product Safety Australia website https://www.productsafety.gov.au//bmw-australia-ltd-bmw-e4.
