Great to see teams supporting this small club. Nev's team f...rom Donnybrook also played well on the day. We look forward to going back to Donnybrook later in the year.
16.01.2022 For those who are following our BNABAi Members progress in the Multidisability Bowls State Championships, we had a mixed day yesterday in Day One of the Singles. Tough games all day. Tony Watson (Gatton) won 1 and lost 2, but played really well. Maybe a better day today for Tony. Tony Watson (Kallangur) has Won the first three matches and sits in the top 4, but meets the number 1 player, in Damian Dalgado, this morning first up. The the two Tony's us face off in Round 5. Brisbane Northside Arm Bowls Association Inc has decided to cancel our Red Hill Event on the 27th March, however, we are hopeful that we will be able to play it later in the year. We have also postponed our Club Championships Singles and Pairs until later in the year. See what happens. The most important message to get out at present is for our Members and Friends to stay healthy and safe and try not to worry too much about this virus. It will pass.

11.01.2022 Tony Watson (Kallangur) and Glenn Norton (Ferny Grove) played in the fours, with Geoff and Wayne from Red Hill, at Red Hill on Saturday and Sunday 7th and 8th November 2020. Whilst we had some close games we only managed to win two out of five and missed the money. It was a great event though and I am looking forward to possibly playing it again in 2021.
11.01.2022 Sunday 13th September saw one of our Arm Bowlers take out the "B" Singles Club Championship at Kallangur Memorial Bowls Club. Yes ... me ... Tony Watson had the win. It was a great series at Kallangur with 2 of the 4 semi finalists being Arm Bowlers. John Kishor who has played with us in the past was also a semi finalist, but went down to Terry Bogan (non arm bowler). Graham McNiven also made it to the quarter finals. It is great to see our fellow Arm Bowlers being competitiv...e in the everyday bowls arena. Great work guys. 10.01.2022 Well the Multidisability games are now complete for 2020 and Tony Watson (Gatton) and Tony Watson (Kallangur) both performed well in both the Pairs and Singles. The singles were wrapped up yesterday and Tony Watson (Kallangur) won the Bronze Medal after finishing overall fourth. The only game I lost was the one against Damien Delgado by 4 shots and Damien was the Gold Medal winner.... What a great effort by both Tony Watson (Gatton) and Tony Watson (Kallangur) as there were some really high level players at this event. I am looking forward to trying my luck again in 2021.
10.01.2022 NSW Bowling Arm Singles Tournament is to be conducted on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th February 2021 with a closing date for entries on Friday January 22nd 2021. Kurri Kurri Bowling Club has provided its most welcome additional involvement with East Maitland, Beresfield and Hexham in this premier bowling arm annual event. In consequence, the number of entries can be increased to 96 and now cater for some opening of the state borders and safe NSW travel due to Covid-19 relaxation... of recent restrictions. This also permits an additional section of play and has has allowed the raising of prize money to $2400 spread over 16 place-getters in the sections that now will include Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. If you have already entered by email to Beresfield BC there is nothing more to do; you are still entered. New entries should be nominated through to Beresfield BC as soon as possible to avoid being placed on the Reserve Listing. It would be greatly appreciated if you could assist in letting other bowling arm players and clubs know about this event with its new changes by email, Facebook etc and/or website. Hope to see you in 2021!!!!

09.01.2022 Well yesterday saw the conclusion of the Pairs event for the Mulidisability Bowls Championships and Tony Watson (Gatton) and Tony Watson (Kallangur) played another tough day. We went down in the first game by 1 shot when trailing by 6 shots with 2 ends to go. Darn nearly got there. The second game we came from behind and had another close one which we won by 1 shot on the last end. We needed to take two shots to get there and did so. Woohoo!!! we got one home.... Unfortunately, our efforts were not good enough to get into the Finals playoffs for Pairs. The good news is that Singles starts today from 9am and I can't see the games getting any easier. Should be some great competition today. I am looking forward to the challenge. Wish us both luck, as we give it our best out there!!

02.01.2022 Aspley Bowls Club was the venue for Brisbane Northside Arm Bowlers Association Inc on Sunday 15th November 2020 and it was a great day. Fantastic to see the numbers in attendance. We had a field of 30 players from 14 Clubs competing. We had players from Chermside, Woodford, Toowoomba City, Northern Suburbs, Ferny Grove, Glasshouse, Narangba, Gatton, Pine Rivers, Aspley, Kallangur, Sandgate, Greenslopes and Red Hill competing. It was a really well fought out competition again.... Tom Harris and Geoff Hankinson (Chermside) won our 2x4x2 Pairs Event with a 2 + 12 and Runners up were Lex Biddle (Woodford) and Dudley Cone (Toowoomba City) with a 2 + 9. Great game as usual. Lex Biddle (Woodford) and Dudley Cone (Toowoomba City) were the winners of our 3 Bowls Pairs with a 2 + 7 and Runners Up was a three way tie between Ken Nelson (Northern Suburbs) and Marko Kendes (Northern Suburbs), Glenn Norton (Ferny Grove) and Warren Blackbourne (Glasshouse) and Len Enright (Pine Rivers) and Keith Pretsel (Kallangur) with a 2 + 6. It doesn’t get closer than that. Our Triples teams of Greg Birks (Red Hill), Anthony Turissi (Red Hill) and Peter Whelan (Ferny Hills) and David Pearson (Greenslopes), Les Earl (Ferny Grove) and Ross Knight (Gatton) had a win each. Overall winners for the day were tied between Tom Harris and Geoff Hankinson (Chermside) and Lex Biddle (Woodford) and Dudley Cone (Toowoomba City) with a 4 + 16. Well done all and that was again as close as it gets. See full results
