23.01.2022 THE SUPER MOON. . I’ve always read my star sign but lately I’ve been a lot more invested in the moons and just being aware of the feeling they bring! Last night I listening to a beautiful live from @sheseesthestars who explains what this moon brings and I did a meditation she ran while wrapped in my doona on the balcony and soaked in the super moon! This moon is the one that says it’s time to let go of all that past hurt- it also requires it to come back to the surface to do so

08.01.2022 - THAT TIME OF THE MONTH- . . Did u always think period week was ur least productive? Well generally for most it’s not. .... For some reason, women’s cycles are not spoken enough about! After taking more notice of my energy, moods, productiveness, eating habits and literally changing my training habits around my cycle- I’ve gone to a new level of productiveness and results!. . I started doing some research, following a few period coaches on insta and also read the @jamessmithpt book which explains that the week prior to your period and the first day or two of it, it’s not unusual for a women to lose upto 40% of their strength (IMAGINE HAVING THIS WEEK AS UR GOAL TO SET A PB ).. so instead of feeling shit and like I’ve gone backwards, now I acknowledge this and set my goals around this!. . I’m not going to try hit a PB whilst pre-menstrual! Even things like tattoos, piercings, skin needling or anything uncomfortable, most will generally have a higher pain threshold during ovulation!. . Also did you know leading into your period and during your period you can actually eat 300 more calories a day without it affecting you (I have actually been tracking this for myself and I eat 400 more calories a day the week leading into and I’ve still lost weight). Obviously everyone is different but that’s why tracking your period and possibly your food, energy and moods can be amazing. . So I encourage everyone to follow @_clairebaker_ , and really start documenting your months based on your cycle not the calender! Also a handy tip- if your striving for weight loss, u should compare according to your cycle as we fluctuate so much! So weigh on the first day of your cycle and compare it to last months first day of cycle! Weighing every Monday and comparing it to the week before can actually be DEFLATING AND INACCURATE!!. . I have also noticed I have a week where I am extra motivated, driven and productive so now I make sure to NEVER WASTE THIS WEEK!!. . My question to those that already track their cycles, I’m looking for a good way to document and track, so do u have a good journal for this specifically or how do you do it?. . See more
