25.01.2022 BNI Executive Directors supporting cancer! What a great way to participate in a community event.
25.01.2022 ONE BIG VOICE is Australias largest childrens choir. Open to all schools, public or private (Years 3-7), OBV culminates annually in 2 massive concerts at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia. Over 7000 students and their families celebrate in joyous affirmation of the life-changing power of song. Unfortunately, their annual student choir concert for 2020 has been cancelled due to Covid.... However, three schools in Narrogin are getting together to run their own concert. We are looking for connections to businesses in Narrogin that may be able to support this event. Please help by reaching out to your incredible network of BNI members and help or refer businesses in Narrogin. Please share this post and lets help the students of these schools share their beautiful voices! Below is a promotional video from last years concert. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hue2vFWgvlY&feature=emb_logo

18.01.2022 Did you know that 1 in 6 children in Australia is living in disadvantaged circumstances? The Sixth Child wants to change this statistic. BNI Charity Member for BNI Energise in Melbourne, The Sixth Child is on a mission to help any child who is suffering because they are disadvantaged economically, culturally or socially, and have been supporting The Sixth Child since its inception. This is the Giver Gain action right here!... The Sixth Child volunteers work with a network of professionals on identified needs within a community and design solutions and projects on a case by case basis to eliminate the need. This often involves material aid and establishing programs that bring about long term change to childrens lives. BNI members have provided kind support including accounting, technology, social media, legal and fundraising services, as well as donating clothes, educational supplies, and toys for children. Find out more about this incredible program and how we can help children in need. Visit https://thesixthchild.org.au/ for more info.

17.01.2022 In February of this year, our BNI Foundation provided $6,800 to the Kangaroo Island Community Education, South Australia. The 2020 bushfires devastated this local community in Kangaroo Island. BNI Foundation Australia reached out to the Kangaroo Island Community Education. The money came from a GoFundMe campaign that we ran in January to support the education of children affected by the bushfires.... The purpose of their donation was to help create indoor and outdoor spaces for the children to unwind and relax during the school day. This donation will have a far reaching impact to those children affected directly by the fires and to those other children who are living their friends traumas vicariously. https://rb.gy/niwubf

15.01.2022 Abe Schneider, a man who pioneered BMX in Australia, and proud BNI Member received the Queens Birthday 2020 Honours list with a Member of the Order of Australia Award. His biggest impact on the sport was his sheer determination to make BMX an Olympic sport. It took close to 15 years to turn the dream into a reality and included many setbacks and public disapproval. I had a dream, the dream turned to a vision, the vision to reality and the reality became an obsession but I ch...ased this goal and it finally, finally happened, which was one of the greatest moments of my life, Schneider told the ABC in a recent interview. Receiving this honour was a life-changing moment for Abe, and one that would not be possible without the support of his wife Barb "My wife, my life, my flame" he says.

06.01.2022 Ready for a BNI team challenge? Of course you are! Choose to walk, run, wheel or cycle a distance which is challenging for you whether it’s 10km or 1000km from November 1st to 30th for charity! Help raise funds to help kids living with a disability to cycle for the first time. We would love to have more BNI teams support this event. What’s also really exciting is that we will have kids all over NSW with their Freedom Wheels bikes taking part too such as Charlie, Zara and Eloi...se. Here's their beautifully story "Charlie, 6 and Zara, 4 years old both live with Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T) an incurable progressive condition that combines the worst symptoms of muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis and has a high rate of cancer. Charlie has a quiet and gentle personality and loves to build with his Lego. Zara is quite the performer and loves to sing and dance. They share a great sense of humour. Prior to receiving their Freedom wheels bikes they both had regular bikes that unfortunately no matter how much they tried they just didn’t have the strength to pedal, so to see them ride their Freedom Wheels bikes instantly and with ease was just MAGIC! Being able to ride a bike is something most of us take for granted and we are so thankful for the joy that it has brought to Charlie and Zara, we would love to see other children have the opportunity to enjoy this experience also. https://www.readysetmove.org.au/home
06.01.2022 Katerina and Anthony from BNI Evergreen have formed a Business Voices group with Shaun of the Illawarra P & C to create a Nature Playground at Illawarra Primary School. Katerina has used her networks to put this project together. Anthony is a builder and is providing his knowledge, skills and ... staff time as a donation to this worthy project. Mr Davies, the Principal, knows that when children have the opportunity to be expressive and curious in their play, they are better learners! Thank you to Katerina, Anthony and Shaun for the great work you are doing to help foster educational outcomes. We cannot wait to see the final result. Another fabulous acknowledgment for the effort and work our wonderful BNI Members. Photographed L R: Brian Davies, Principal, Shaun McDonald, P&C member Katerina Dimitriov, BNI - Evergreen Chapter Perth. Missing from the photo is Anthony Cullen, BNI Evergreen. #bnibusinessvoices
05.01.2022 Givers Gain is a BNI philosophy that the BNI Foundation Australia follows. When we give, the community gains! BNI Coastal Heights and BNI High Noon have donated $500 each so we can provide a Givers Gain Grant to East Maddington Primary School for the purchase of Math books. It is our first (of hopefully many) Givers Gain Grant. Thanks to everyone that helped get this through. Presentation is taking place on 31 July...so watch this space for the photos!

03.01.2022 Last night BNI Prosper, in the Utah South region, held their very first Business Voices event. Tragically, the local high school they are teamed with has experi...enced three student suicides recently. When asked, the principal suggested a mental health talk for parents over Zoom. The team organized the event and chapter member, and therapist, David Mayeski led the talk. BNI Prosper has received very positive feedback about the inspiring evening. Congratulations on a successful first event. Keep up the good work. #BNIFoundation #BusinessVoices See more
