06.01.2022 Who is Nude Bear???? Luke Kuzmich grew up in Mount Duneed in an old farming area just south of Geelong. At the age of 15 he threw his first party with about 300... people attending. From that point on, he knew his calling. His passion for partying was set in stone. Upon finishing school at Geelong College he went jackarooing in a little town called Caramut, in the Western District of Victoria. During the summer of 2001, one of his best mates decided after drenching sheep all day, that they would head down to Lake Bolac B&S. Having a absolute wow of a time Luke has since become obsessed with throwing wild country parties. Luke has loved the idea of catching up with mates and switching off for the weekend. One of the main drawcard’s to a B&S was, getting to stay on site, no drink driving, no taxi ride home, true blue country boys and girls cutting loose in our big backyard we call Australia was the thing to do. From then on, Luke went shearing for several years and was a jackaroo up north in and around Burke, a couple of seasons in Mansfield, the High Country. During one sowing season back in 2011, Luke was starting to get frustrated with the way B&S’s had changed. One season on a farm near Derrinallum, Luke was approached by a local farmer, Jeff Risbey who owned the local Lake Bolac Hotel. He asked Luke if he would like to purchase the Pub. After thinking it over for roughly 2 weeks, Luke jumped at the opportunity to own his first pub. Luke honed his party making skills at the Lake Bolac Hotel, learning all of the finer points of running a successful business. Along the journey he has made excellent connections and true friends throughout the entertainment and music industry, cementing his name in what is now called Nude Bear Event Management. With events such as; The restart of the the Lake Bolac B&S,All About The Bush For Tony, The Kyneton Ute Show, Socks Up Ute Show and finally the Dunkeld Races After Party, which still holds a record of 13,500 litres of alcohol drunk in four hours, Nude Bear Event Management is well known for hosting a killer party’s. In all Luke’s experience the Lava Blast B&S has definitely been the biggest challenge but most certainly, the most rewarding in regards to his passion for perfection in all the small details. As the fun and shenanigans at B&S balls died off, Luke‘s drive to get a ball up and running, retaining the original fun of the 80s/90s structure,is what is behind the Lava Blast Old School B&S. Luke has an absolute passion to make Lava Blast the best B&S in Australia, making it all about fun and helping the community. Over the last 18 months Luke has handed out 15,000 Lava Blast flyers, lost countless hours of sleep and traveled unknown km’s to help get other B&S’s back on track as well as spreading the word about The Lava Blast B&S Ball. We are not a one time event Luke explained. Lava Blast is just the beginning. Planning is already taking place for future events which will be disclosed at a later date. Lava Blast is not to be missed. Come and enjoy the ultimate country atmosphere, support the charities and get on board this killer event held the in early April every year. Well done Luke, we can't wait to party like there no tomorrow!
