25.01.2022 Hi everyone! Just a reminder to all Captains to please provide your feedback to the Committee on return to play by June 30. We haven’t heard back from the majority of Captains at present and your feedback will be critical to our planning. If you’re a Captain and you haven’t received my email request please let me know and I’ll resend. Thanks everyone!

23.01.2022 LAST CHANCE: BNSDC Ladies and B Graders! This Tuesday night is the kick off of our Club's Singles Championships and today is the LAST CHANCE to nominate. Ladies of BNSDC - still spots left... B Grade - still spots left Email your nomination through ASAP to [email protected] to secure your spot for Tuesday night. Cut-off for nominations is tonight. 7pm kick-off @ Club Chermside. Please arrive at least 15 mins earlier to ensure you're signed in (entry via inner corridor / exit via bowling green door) Couple of things to remember for our COVID-19 Safe plan: - Gestures and greetings in lieu of handshakes/high fives/pats on the back - Shared items such as pens and whiteboard erasers to be wiped down before each use - Remember social distancing rules - Please maintain personal hygiene by washing your hands and using the antibacterial hand sanitiser around the venue - If you are unwell, please do not attend We can't wait to see you!!!

22.01.2022 We understand you may be concerned about novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the health and safety for you and your family and whether we continue to play Wednesday night darts. Given these concerns and to minimise any risk, the best way is to follow the medical advice provided by Queensland Health. This is at this moment: - Wash your hands thoroughly and often with soap and water, before and after eating, and after going to the toilet... cover your cough and sneezes and dispose of tissues and use hand sanitiser - Keep 1.5 metres from someone who is sick - Stay home if you are unwell - Exercise personal responsibility for social distancing measures - Avoid handshakes, good luck will suffice If you have travelled overseas with the last 14 days and feeling unwell or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 seek medical advice. For further information go to the Queensland Health website where information is updated frequently. So what does that mean for us? We will continue to play every Wednesday night until such time we have been advised to cancel events or gathering. If you are unwell don’t come to darts! We must ensure we take the above precautions.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, We will be holding a Captain's meeting on August 19th at 7pm at Chermside Bowls Club. We will also provide the option of joining us virtually via Google Meet and an email will be sent to all Club Captains over the weekend with login details for those wishing to join us remotely. If your team captain is not able to be present, please send a proxy in their absence. It is critical that all teams are represented as we go through the training required that would allo...w us to return to play. Please note, the function room has a total capacity of 50 people that we need to comply with, and all attending will need to sign in on entry. Please also be aware of the latest restrictions which requires all patrons to be seated inside the venue at all times while eating or drinking. We look forward to seeing you in the next couple of weeks!

20.01.2022 Hi everyone, As you would've seen further restrictions announced by the Qld Government have changed the state of play for us, licensed venues and darts going forward. We will look to hold a club meeting in the coming weeks as we receive more guidance from the peak bodies. We're doing the best we can to work with our venues and the restrictions to find a way forward, but we're also aware that a lot can change week to week as seen in the southern states. Thanks all for your patience, and we'll be back in touch with another update on when the meeting will be held.

20.01.2022 Hi all, just a reminder that we’ll be holding a Captains meeting on Wednesday night at Chermside Bowls Club starting at 7pm to go through the state of play and where we are at. All Captains have been emailed a link to join online if you prefer to attend via that method. Look forward to seeing you there!

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, Thanks for all who attended last night's Captain's Meeting. Just to update the full membership, due to the unavailability of 2 of our 3 venues unfortunately we are unable to proceed with the remainder of the regular season. While we can't move forward with the season, we will be holding Singles and Doubles Championships for each grade over the next few months. We will advise event dates as they become available and will keep in touch via Facebook and email. Also..., once the minutes are available they will be forwarded to all Club Captains on email. We hope that as restrictions are lifted our other venues will come back on board, but we will also look to start planning for how we move forward next year as a club in the new normal. Thank you for all of your patience and understanding as we try to navigate these uncertain times. We look forward to seeing you at our Championships!

12.01.2022 Good evening all! Thank you to all teams for getting back to us on numbers for a restart of our season. Just a quick update for you all. We are currently working with our Venues to understand their individual requirements in regards to capacity and restrictions so that we can look at restarting. Hopefully we’ll have more info in the coming week at which point we will update both Team Captains by email and post publicly on Facebook. We will also be hosting a mandatory online... meeting / teleconference for all Team Captains to attend to understand the guidelines under which we can return to play. There will be a number of specific protocols we will all need to work with to ensure the safety of our club and the community and it will be imperative to have everyone’s commitment to this prior to play. Thanks for your patience and we will be back in touch with another update soon.

12.01.2022 Good evening members, BNSDC has been continually monitoring the status of COVID-19 and relying on detailed updates from the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Australian Federal Government and the Queensland Government. Our Executive Committee held a teleconference this evening to discuss the developing situation and have made the difficult decision to postpone all games until further notice for the safety and welfare of our members.... BNSDC will continue to monitor the situation closely as it develops. Our highest priority though is to protect our members especially those that may be considered at most risk. Our Committee are currently communicating with our venue partners and we will keep in contact with updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and assistance in these trying times.

12.01.2022 And the Ladies winner is ..... Shaz! With a very close second to Kris Here’s to a great night with the ladies of BNSDC

12.01.2022 Hi everyone! Just a quick update for you on where we are at with returning to play. At this stage, not all of our playing venues are back open just yet. As you can imagine there’s a fair bit of work for each venue to go through to meet the Governments requirements and part of our return to play plan will be to work with each venue to assess if we can go back and on what basis given social distancing requirements. ... Given the size of our club it won’t be possible to return to play until Stage 3 on the Queensland Governments road map is reached, which is scheduled for 12 July. We don’t have a locked in date for our club to resume play at this point but the Committee are actively working on a return to play plan now that is compliant with Queensland Government regulations and the guidance set down from QSport. Our priority is to ensure that we can return to play in a way that protects our players and local community, as well as complying with the Governments regulations, and we will keep you updated with further developments as we work through the return to play plan.
