10.01.2022 BROOME CROCODILE SIGHTING Parks and Wildlife have confirmed sighting of a large 3.5-4m estuarine (saltwater) crocodile at the mouth of Dampier Creek. The ani...mal was reported at 10:30am today, 8th November 2019. Parks and Wildlife Service Yawuru Rangers, along with the Shire of Broome, are currently monitoring the animal. Town Beach and Entrance Point will be closed for swimming for 24 hours. Visitors are warned to stay well away from the waters edge, dont swim, jump off rocks when beaches are closed and where crocodile warning signs are in place. And when boating keep your limbs inside your boat. Report crocodile sightings to the Broome office on 9195 5500, if possible keep eyes on the animal, provide information about direction of travel, size and distance from shore.
