23.01.2022 Stage 2 of the Fire Station upgrade has now been completed. The new Gyprock ceiling has been put up and painted and new recessed light fittings wired and installed. A big thanks to Plasta Masta in Coffs Harbour who very generously donated the materials, Paul Hickson Plasterers who did a great job at a reduced rate and John from Axis Painting who did a terrific job also for a great price.

20.01.2022 The fire was almost out when we were out there last Thursday. Apparently some new ignition points were found.

17.01.2022 Very High Fire Danger Saturday 28 November. Conditions are deteriorating and will be severe on Sunday. Have you got your Bush Fire Survival Plan?

16.01.2022 Permits commence on 1 September.

15.01.2022 High risk weekend folks....make sure you are READY

14.01.2022 We had some very special guests call in on Saturday. Audrey, Gabriel, Max and August came down to check out the "big truck" that dad Craig would be riding in when he turns out with the brigade. They were more than impressed and probably would have signed up if they were old enough.

14.01.2022 Conditions will ease on Monday but may worsen again during the week.

13.01.2022 Even though the Fire Danger Rating for Friday 27 November is Low/Moderate, Permits have been suspended due to the severe fire weather forecast for the weekend.

12.01.2022 With heatwave conditions and increased fire danger affecting much of NSW over the coming days, fire permits are suspended from midnight tonight. This suspension will remain in force until at least Tuesday, when conditions will be reviewed. Don't be the fire risk to your community.

11.01.2022 Boambee Brigade spent three days at the Providence Road fire at Kalang with other MNC RFS brigades, National Parks and Forestry crews. A helicopter was brought in to support ground crews waterbombing hot spots. The fire is still burning within containment lines and, with favourable weather conditions, should be held within these lines. Here are some photos of Boambee crew members working on the fireline on Firday 28 September.

07.01.2022 The brigade held a Working Bee yesterday, Sunday 2 August, to completely go over all equipment on both trucks to ensure everything is in tip-top working order for the approaching fire season. The fire station was also given a clean after the completion of all of the new work. It was also a good time to for the members to meet our new recruits, Bree-Anna, Ranga, Dave, Nick and Jerome who attended and commenced their Basic Training.

07.01.2022 Please heed the warnings. Severe fire conditions tomorrow. TOTAL FIRE BAN. Definitely NO FIRES.

05.01.2022 Thursday 20 August, Boambee Brigade worked on the Provincial Road fire at Kalang. Our crew of Marty, Davo, Uhlan and Alex assisted NPWS crews, working in some very steep terrain which made mopping up the fire quite difficult. At the end of the day the fire was quite benign with crews hoping the fire would remain that way with gale force winds forecasted.

04.01.2022 Online is much easier.

04.01.2022 VERY HIGH Fire Danger Rating continues for tomorrow, Saturday 26 September. Fire permits remain suspended until Sunday, when conditions are expected to ease. For updates on Fire Danger Rating please visit www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-information/fdr-and-tobans.

04.01.2022 Boambee Brigade spent their fourth day on this fire today.

03.01.2022 Permits Suspended from midnight tonight for, at this stage, 24 hours.
