We stock Pains Wessex flare kits, which include what you need to keep recreational boaters legal on QLD waters. Heres a video demonstration for your viewing pleasure, because, well, what else are you doing. Youre probably already on YouTube...... **Note: most of the items they show are not standard items youll find on the shelf, or required for recreational use in Australia, so the first minute is probably all you need to see**

07.01.2022 Our rigging department has had a major upgrade this week with the addition of a new splicing bench - The Big Red Beast. This allows faster, better quality splicing work! It also means we're one of the few rigging shops that can proof load (up to a SWL of 5 ton) our work before you fit it to your boat. Or..... we can just load test a 4mm Dyneema Loop to failure at 2.1 ton... we'll try and train the camera person not to jump in the future!

05.01.2022 Day in the office... Did you know we have two commercial skippers (and a commercial engineer) on staff to assist with any of your boating needs. Today was bringing someones new toy from the Gold Coast to Newport.

01.01.2022 Missing AFLOAT? ITS BACK! Come get a copy while they last.

01.01.2022 Before and after.... Huge advantage of modern ropes - we can often refurbish. Customer bought this in to measure a replacement rope - ended up leaving with the same rope fully repaired and significantly improved. Rope has been reversed, taper'tipped with Dyneema chafe guard to stop the same issue happening again as well as significantly stronger with a splice rather than a knot. Finally, added a halyard becket to make it easier to reeve back in the mast.... Oh, and quietly wound out way past it's safe working load with the #bigredbeast...
