08.01.2022 In ELO (extended learning online) some students have been challenged to create a presentation to inform students and parents about the importance of being safe online. Ashlee chose to create an animated video by using the coding program Scratch to share her important message with our school community. This project took 6 weeks of hard work, patience, and resilience when the coding didn't quite go to plan at times. Congratulations Ashlee. https://youtu.be/1YTFtLgtCGE

01.01.2022 We Will Remember Them.

01.01.2022 Students in all 3-4 classes embarked on a Science inquiry into making paper planes with the aid of some experts from Questacon in Canberra and their Foldable Flight workshop. Most student had made paper planes before, but have never really considered what makes them go higher, faster, longer. Through the miracle of Zoom, the students learned about scientific concepts of drag, thrust and lift in order to make modifications to their dart planes and gliders. The fun was in the p...lanning and testing of their designs. In the afternoon, our students tried to break the Guinness World Record of 75 metres, but sadly the wind and rain were against them. We did have some impressive results of 16 metres and above. The students were engaged and learned a lot about planning, observing and persevering. They had a lot of fun too! Here is a video documenting our day of learning all about foldable flight. https://youtu.be/7kxbsiKDf3M
