22.01.2022 Hello friends! We've been laying low over the past few weeks. There's been a lot of noise and confusion about COVID-19 and we didn't want to add to it. Just an update for those interested... The Bobbin and Ink shop is still trading but we responded pretty quickly, just over a week ago, postponing the current and upcoming classes due to start in April. For now we've said that we'll see how the next month plays out and make a call on future classes after a bit more information ...is revealed in the coming weeks. We thank all our customers for being really understanding, accommodating and patient while we contact everyone through this. We're a small team in a roomy shop, so we've still been able to have at least one staff member on site to handle enquiries and coordinate machine servicing /order pickups. For now, we're still taking and fulfilling orders on our website and have been stocking up on print and sewing supplies in the shop in preparation for more uncertain restrictions. We're still coating and exposing screens for people and there's been an increase in sewing machine sales, which has been really wonderfully supportive. Shipping has been a little delayed at times, but for now its still a great alternative to coming into the store. The shop will be manned this weekend, but we ask anyone intending to visit, just ring ahead. We're trying to limit face-to-face transactions, foot traffic is almost non-existent on Parramatta Rd right now (which is good! Stay indoors if you can!). If we can organise a local drop off to your door, we're more than happy to work that out with you. We can take payments online, in person or over the phone. The shop is unmanned for today but the phone is redirected to mobile, so we can still answer questions and take orders. Our opening hours may vary from standard during this period, so just ring us if in doubt Thanks everyone!
