23.01.2022 BIG NEWS!! For the first time since the Bobbo started 9 years ago, we're launching a new cycling jersey for the event. So now you can show your support for Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury by wearing this eye-catching jersey when you ride the Bobbo. There are two ways to get your jersey: 1. Buy one for $69 and $20 will go to Lifeline... 2. Raise $500 and get one for free! This great quality jersey is made by cycling apparel supplier Champion Systems Australia. 16.01.2022 BOBBO UPDATE No doubt you have been following the news bulletins about the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and the growing concern about the health risks of large gatherings. It was announced today following a COAG meeting that all non-essential gatherings of more than 500 people should be suspended from Monday. So, in accordance with the Government’s advice, the 2020 Bobbo will not be going ahead on Sunday 29 March.... We are really sad to have to make this decision, but clearly we have no choice and the health of all our riders and supporters is our number one priority. We are considering alternative arrangements and will make a decision over the next few days on the best and fairest solution for all. We will be in touch again soon with further information. Updates will also be posted on the website.

And that means it's a busy time for major charity partner Lifeline's 13 11 14 Crisis Support line as these figures show... That's right! Over 2,600 calls on Christmas Day and 638 before 6 in the morning. Every $26 covers the cost of a call to Lifeline's 13 11 14 Crisis Line, so every donation will help us help those who need o...ur support. 02.01.2022 BOBBO UPDATE It is with great regret that we have decided to cancel the 2020 Bobbo. We have looked at other dates but given the uncertainty around COVID-19, there is no workable alternative. I’m sure that you share my sadness in having to cancel but I hope you agree that it’s the safest way forward.... I wanted to let you know that you are, of course, entitled to a full refund of your event registration fee. But if you are in a position where you might be able to waive your refund, please consider how your generosity will make a lasting impact for people in mental health crisis, especially in these difficult times. With the instability of the global pandemic, people at risk of suicidal thoughts or severe depression need help now more than ever, and all leftover registration fees will go towards helping Lifeline take more and more life-saving calls. Even though the Bobbo is run entirely by volunteers we still incur many upfront costs, which means Lifeline will inevitably receive less funds than in previous years. But by generously choosing to donate your registration fee, you will help save the lives of those most in need of help. Remember, $26 helps answer one more call, and $500 covers the cost of training a new counsellor who could provide support to 175 people each year!
