10.01.2022 As the 2020 training season is just about to kick off, we are having a spruce up on all the social media connected to the Bobby Cunningham coaching & training pages. Starting with this page we would love some help. On Tuesday 25 August, the Department of Education and Training is presenting a free webinar for parents and carers by renowned child psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, on building family resilience during coronavirus (COVID-19). Parents and carers play a vital role in helping children feel safe through uncertain times.... Dr Carr-Gregg’s webinar is aptly named Managing the Coronacoaster Tips for building resilient families in the coronavirus era. In this webinar, Dr Carr-Gregg provides tools and strategies for parents and carers to help manage the lockdown and remote learning. Topics include: your supportive role setting the emotional tone focusing on what you can control how to deal with disappointment further resources and where to get help. Dr Carr-Gregg’s presentation will run for 45 minutes. This will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session in which parents and carers can ask Dr Carr-Gregg questions. 01.01.2022 Good evening everyone. Apologies for taking a while to contact you all that follows our page. It has been really hard trying to keep up with the developments across the state and also think about how we can put everyone’s health first whilst adhering to the guidelines. After assessing the viability of the TWB and BBB programs this year, I have unfortunately come to the realisation that I will have to cease running our TWB and and BBB programs for the remainder of the year. ...In this current climate, the insurance that I personally had to take out has become a financial burden, coupled with facilities becoming increasingly difficult to secure. I have taken on an Aussie hoops role as well as under 10 coordinator’s role. Pretty positive we may have something for our TWB and BBB age groups but waiting on more info from Michael McGorm who is the Warrnambool Junior Basketball Development Officer. Facilities are secure, I am covered under a broader and more comprehensive insurance policy, and will work under the health guidelines set out by Basketball Victoria. I am saddened by the fact that I cannot run with my passion in my own capacity as our sessions were certainly lots of fun for all. I want to thank each and every family for your continued support and I really hope that all of our families can understand. Again thank you all so much for your patience throughout this crazy time and hope to see you all around the Arc sometime
