25.01.2022 This week Jez shared on Ephesus - The Loveless Church. This church had sound theology and labored patiently in the work of God. However, Jesus calls them out for having lost their First Love. A bible character who kept his First Love through life's ups and downs was David. God testifies about him that he was a man after His own heart. The story of Saul and David warns us that in God we all have an equal opportunity to know Him, walk in His ways and to keep seeking His will. T...o keep our First Love requires a reverence for God, a worship of God, a repentant heart and fellowship with Believers. A close walk with God requires a Reverence for Who He is. Yes, He is merciful, gracious and loving but he is also Just in judgement, Holy in character and does not change. Psalm 147:11 The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. Worship is not just singing songs but like King David, it must become a way of life. Saul justified his Sin, David confessed them. Do not resist the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Live an examined life, being quick to identify and forsake any sin. Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. David was surrounded by mighty men. Who are you taking with you into your battles? Hebrews 10:25 reminds us to never neglect meeting together and to encourage one another. Establish your First love and then you are ready for the First works. #Remember #Repent #Return #FirstLove #FirstWorks

24.01.2022 This week Eddie K shared on Standing Firm. The Israelites showed great courage when they sprinkled the blood of the lamb at the entrance to their homes. This was a brazen declaration of their trust in God and obedience to Him. God honored their stand and delivered them from years of slavery in Egypt. We are called to stand firm and declare the truth of God into situations. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 1 Cor 16:13 The disciples of Jesus ...stood true to the faith until the very end but their reward on earth was death. You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Mat 10:2 Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Rev 2:10 Can people work out that you are a Christian just by your actions? Take a stand for Jesus. Wake up, stand up and be the man God is calling you to be. What are you going to do to take a stand for Jesus? #StandFirm #BoB #ABIBFA

24.01.2022 Hi boys just an encouragement to use this time in isolation to strengthen our family units. The gates of hell will not prevail against the Church and we will come out of this stronger. Let us look for opportunities to speak life and encourage our families in the things of God. Let us dig the wells that will satisfy their spiritual longing. Never underestimate the power of Family Prayer and Godly conversations.

22.01.2022 The obvious does not obligate God to do anything for you. You have to make room for God in your lives. Every promise over your life will be tested but the God who promised is faithful to see it to completion. - Jonathan Downs, Calvary Chapel #BoBConf2019 #BoB #ABIBFA

20.01.2022 Last Wednesday Jeswin spoke on biblical Wells. Are you a Well without water or a Well of life? John 4 - Anyone who drinks from the Well of man will be thirsty again. Whoever drinks the water Jesus provides will never thirst and will well up to eternal life. What kind of Well are you digging? Wells require great effort, sustains life. A Well dug in the right place signifies blessing and leaves a legacy. The Samaritans in Jn 4 were still enjoying the legacy Jacob left. There will always be people who want to ruin your Well by filling it with dirt and making it useless (Gen 26). A useless Well can also be self inflicted. Wells full of dirt are the result of sin, following deceitful teachings and doctrine and following meaningless man made religious traditions. A good Well requires a team effort. Stay connected with your brothers!.

20.01.2022 This week Teeg shared on Living out the Christian walk daily. In Matthew 7:21, we read about "the many" who failed to know the will of the Father. Will of the Father according to 1 John 3:16 is to have real love for our brothers. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. I John 3:16... We are to show love without passing judgement. Remember that you also have received His forgiveness. Loving others is being generous with your time, talents and in encouraging one another. It is the will of the Father that we overcome sin He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. I John 3:8 Rom 12:2 reminds us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Confess and forsake any sin that Holy Spirit reveals to you. Share every part of your day with God. Prayer and Intercession draws us close to Him. #dailyliving #BoB #ABIBFA

17.01.2022 We are interviewing a Brother tonight who comes from a country that has more pressing issues than toilet paper. 7:15pm Walder st Belconnen.

16.01.2022 This week Rob Fisher spoke on mankind's pursuit for Justice, Equality and Peace. Christianity is the greatest advocate for these and we can trace their origin to the God of the Bible. Seeking these outside of Christ is futile and ends in frustration and disappointment. ‘You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor. Leviticus 19:15 There is neither Greek nor Jew,... circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Colossians 3:11 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 Perfect Justice, True Equality and Lasting Peace is a hallmark of the eternal kingdom that is being prepared for the believer. #Justice #Equality #Peace #ABIBFA #BoB

15.01.2022 This week Jez shared on Gideon's journey of faith. God who fashioned us with a purpose in mind, created us for works of courage. Gideon surrenders his life to God and experiences His tangible presence and true peace. God patiently guides Gideon throughout the entire journey, addressing his identity issues, fears, doubts, faulty theology and lack of faith. Unlike Gideon, we have the privilege of having His word to guide us and His Spirit dwelling in us. Because of Christ we to...o can be transformed into mighty people of valor. When we Lay our life down and pour out our life in His service, Jesus, the Light of the world shines through us Colossians 1:27 God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He uses any life surrendered to His will to achieve extraordinary things for His Glory. #MenOfValor #ABIBFA #BoB

15.01.2022 This week at BoB, Jez shared on how we are created to worship God. When we accept Jesus into our lives and acknowledge His sacrifice for us, our spirit comes alive. The Holy Spirit then begins to dwell in us and inspires us to offer genuine worship. Worship begins from within and transforms us inside out. We need to strengthen our inner man to overcome the desires of the flesh that can affect our worship. What can you do to make worship a lifestyle?... #ABIBFA #BoB #WorshipLifestyle See more

14.01.2022 This week Eddie shared on Strongholds. Do not let your mind be the stronghold of the enemy. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Strongholds keep an unbeliever from the Good News and keeps a believer from the fullness of life in Christ. Surrou...nd the stronghold of the enemy with God's Word and His Praise. Psalms 32:7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. 2 Samuel 22:2-3 And he said: The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. For every stronghold of the enemy, there’s a powerful way to surround it with truth from Gods word: If your stronghold is Depression, surround it with Hope. If it is Rejection, surround it with Acceptance from God our Father. If it is Unresolved Anger, surround it with Forgiveness. If it is Fear, surround it with the Knowledge of God’s Love. If it is Failure, surround it with the Victory of Resurrection! #BoB #ABIBFA #stronghold

11.01.2022 After a long lay off doing our civic duty, Band of Brothers will be back on Wed 1 July.

11.01.2022 This week Rob Fisher shared on Fiery Trials. The Hebrew boys in Daniel chapter 3 refused to bow down to the golden statue raised by King Nebuchadnezzar. They demonstrated unconditional faith by refusing to backtrack on their convictions. But even if he does not rescue us, we want you as king to know that we will not serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up. Daniel 3:18. If he does not rescue you, do you still worship Him or do you throw in your faith?... Your trials are an opportunity for God to be glorified. You may have to go through fiery trials but He promises to walk with you. Remember Earth is as close to Hell for a Believer and as close to Heaven for an Unbeliever. #ABIBFA #BoB #RefinersFire

10.01.2022 In the circumstances we find ourselves in today, remember that Believers might have to be alone but never lonely. Believers don't enter isolation but enter a refuge, a stronghold. You are never out of God's reach. Jonah was isolated in the belly of a whale but was still within His reach. May you experience His presence in new ways as you call on His name. Bless you all.

09.01.2022 This week at BoB, Teegs shared on Remembering; Remembering the Egypt from which God has delivered us. Remembering the experience of our salvation, the past from which we were set free and the life to which we were brought out. If we do not remind ourselves of His might work in our lives, we tend to turn to other things and make idols for ourselves.... Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you from there. Deuteronomy 24:18 Let us remind ourselves of the Love of the Father who redeemed us and longs to restore mankind into relationship with God. #ABIBFA #BoB

08.01.2022 ONLY 12 FATHER'S DAYS WERE ENOUGH IN THE END! Last Wednesday, Rob Fisher preached on father and son, Hezekiah and Manasseh from 2 Chronicles. Hezekiah was known as the best of Judah’s kings but his his son Manasseh was the most evil. Hezekiah died and left Manasseh the throne when he was just 12. Manasseh was overwhelmed with idolatry, paganism and occultism and his rule was so evil that God pronounced judgement and he was taken captive by the Assyrians. Hezekiah only had 12 ...years to be an influential father and it looked like his legacy ended in failure. The prophets sent by God to warn Manasseh must have also felt like a failure. However, your example and influence may not yield fruit in your lifetime so don’t think your efforts are a failure from your viewpoint. A 1000 years are like a day to God. While in a jail cell, Manasseh remembered the God of his fathers and humbled himself before God. He repented! God heard his plea and restored him to his throne. The proof of his repentance was in his actions. He threw all symbols of idolatry out of Judah. The father's legacy was still alive! Manasseh’s turnaround demonstrates that no one is out of God’s hearing and reach if they lay their own crown at Jesus’ feet and humble themselves in a demonstrated repentance before Him.

07.01.2022 The mother eagle pushes her young out of the nest when they are ready to take flight under the watchful eye of the father eagle. God knows the circumstances you find yourselves in and is always watching over His children. As you place your hope in Him you will find strength to soar high on wings like eagles. - Eddie Kulas #BoBConf2019 #BoB #ABIBFA

05.01.2022 Last night we interviewed our long time Iraqi brother on the BoB couch, Rabah Jabbah. Grew up as a Catholic in Kirkuk and dodged the bombs in Gulf War I. Moved to Baghdad as a Uni Student and realised he wasn't saved. Accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour, joined a church and was bombed by the US in 2003. Short period of religious freedom, heaps of Iraqis getting saved and then all hell broke loose. Moved to Australia and loves freedom. Main lessons from Rabah: 1. Believers wo...rship and proclaim Christ best under pressure. Everyone focuses on exam day. 2. Religious freedom is a double edged sword in Australia. Some great lessons from Rabah exploring this topic 3. Hoarding toilet paper is funny when you come from a country with bombed roads, bridges, electricity plants and people getting randomly murdered. 04.01.2022 And we are back! This week BoB kicked off for the year with all leaders sharing on 2020 Vision. Where there is no vision, the people perish Proverbs 29:18 KJV... Having Vision is to possess a revelation of God and His word. This understanding restrains us from the ways of destruction. Let's seek to know God more deeply this year and get an insight of His will for our lives. As we desire Him we become acquainted with His heart for us and the world around us. There are promises in His word that will help you keep your vision bright and clear. What is His promise for your 2020? How are you going to pursue His vision for the year ahead? #BoB #ABIBFA #MakeItCount #2020Vision

04.01.2022 To live a life of conviction and not convenience we have to align our lives with God's word, build Godly relationships and Love God and people. Kevin Chenko Tran, Divergent Church #BoBConf2019 #BoB #ABIBFA

02.01.2022 This week Richie shared on tending the garden which is our life. Weeds in the form of addictions and lack of discipline keep us captive and have the potential of making a mess of the beautiful life that we have been blessed with. Just as weeds keep coming back, there will always be challenges that need overcoming. We can bring them before Christ and lay it at His feet and find our freedom in Him. Then Jesus said, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. #JustDoIt #BoB #ABIBFA

02.01.2022 This week at BoB, Eddie shared on Intimacy being key in our Christian walk. The seven churches in Revelation chapters 3 and 4 display characters symptomatic of a strong intimacy with God or the lack of it. Ephesus - Abandons its love for Christ and His teachings Smyrna - Remains faithful amidst persecution Pergamum - Compromises its beliefs ... Thyatira - Follows false prophets Sardis - Is spiritually dead Philadelphia - Patiently endures despite weaknesses Laodicea - Has a lukewarm faith Which Church are you? Do you make the Most High your dwelling place or an occasional place of visit? Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8 #IntimacyisKey #BoB #ABIBFA
