19.01.2022 Due to their ever increasing popularity, bicycle lanes have been installed on one of the runways at Mount Gambier Airport. In what is thought to be an airport f...irst, a six month trial has been established to monitor the popularity of these lanes and if the trial proves successful the airport has committed to putting them on all three runways. Airport Compliance Officer Paul McFarlane was excited about the opportunity for cyclists. "We took a look at our infrastructure and decided that the bike lanes would be a great way to expand the use of our underutilised runways." "Whilst they don't really go anywhere, the views of trucks passing on the highway is simply breathtaking" Paul commented. The trial begins next week.

06.01.2022 We would like to remind everyone to make sure to book in your aeroplane flight reviews before they are due to expire, especially if you intend to conduct the review in your own aircraft. If a flight review is conducted within the 3 months before the date it is due to expire, the new validity will generally be two years from the date of expiry, not two years from the day of the flight. In other words, you don't lose any validity time by doing it a few weeks early.

05.01.2022 Good morning Innisfail!

02.01.2022 "If at first you don't succeed", try doing what your flight instructor told you to do the first time.
