25.01.2022 Here is the third video of the BISFed Development Committee's series of educational resources supporting boccia athletes and coaches. The Shot Types video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aclaRsEzPsU&feature=youtu.be Understanding different shot types and how and when to execute each type of shot is important to player development and the ability of an athlete to execute a variety of shot types is crucial in allowing an athlete to manipulate and control the head (grouping of boccia balls around the jack).
23.01.2022 You can still play singles while keeping a social distance, when the athletes and RAs move in and out of the box, according to who has the bat.
23.01.2022 The second video in the series by the BISFed Development Committee to assist boccia athletes and coaches. This one is on Methods of Propulsion - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txrFrRWFGUI&feature=youtu.be There are a variety of ways in which a player can propel a boccia ball out onto court and identifying an athletes preferred method is important during the early stages of their development. Some athletes may find they can use more than one method depending on the type of shot they choose to play or power required to execute the desired shot.

17.01.2022 National Titles 2020 COVID Response Changes Due to the increased uncertainty from travel restrictions as a result of COVID 19 pandemic and to ensure the integrity of the competition, the location of the 2020 Boccia National Titles will be moved from Hobart, Tasmania. The Board of BA is currently exploring an alternative location for the Nationals to be held before the end of 2020. We recognize that even an alternative depends on the status of the pandemic in the weeks leadin...g up to any new arrangements. This was a difficult decision to make especially in the context of ParaQuad Tasmania foundational work to organize a great competition. In recognition of this work BA currently plans to hold the 2021 National Titles in Hobart. ParaQuad Tasmania is looking forward to welcoming athletes in 2021 and will be supporting BA in the re scheduling of the 2020 National Titles. We also want to recognize there are some athletes who have already organized travel and hope an early decision based on COVID circumstances helps you secure a refund or credit. The date and location of the 2020 Nationals will be confirmed shortly, however will probably be in Sydney at the end of October. See more

14.01.2022 Great Advice from Cheol Hyeon Kwon
14.01.2022 Nationals 2020 Cancelled. After lengthy discussion and careful consideration, the Board has made the very difficult decision that the reality of COVID19 makes holding Boccia Australia National Titles in 2020 untenable. The decision was made based on significant concerns that a large number of our athletes would not be able to attend due to health concerns and the increasing uncertainties around interstate travel. It was a painful decision for us to make especially after p...ulling the rabbit out of the hat with 2019 BANT and all the hard work that has already gone into preparing the 2020 titles. We will now turn our energies to organizing another way of coming together nationally this year perhaps virtually stay tuned. We hope 2021 sees the end of COVID19 and a great BANT in Tasmania See more
