23.01.2022 How to have a bikini body this summer: Buy a bikini. Put it on.... That's all. I'm so tired of seeing this term bikini body. Talking to my girl @mrs.mastcell about this topic opened up such a huge realization of how common this concept is and how much shaming goes along with it. Apparently, you have to have a specific body type to wear a bikini, and if you don't have that specific body, it's not acceptable. I used to have a "bikini body". When I did, I was incredibly unhealthy and constantly sick. I was praised for how skinny I looked. And it always made me uncomfortable that the body I was in may look acceptable, but I was feeling awful 95% of the time. Now, my body is different. It has extra skin, it has more rolls, it has some cellulite, and you know what? I'm healthier than I've ever been! I'm obsessed with my new body and how amazing I feel now that I have it. Happy and healthy are what make my bikini bod! Love yourself ladies. You have a bikini bod. Go put it on and get some sunshine? Have you been shamed for your body type before? . 20.01.2022 WAVE THE WHITE FLAG There are many choices available to us women in this life but when it comes to your body, there are only two: Accept it... Or don’t. You see, if you choose to accept your body, you will soon start to love it, admire it, look after it. These things all follow in the wake of your acceptance. When you realise that this vessel for your soul, for your spirit, is an instrument of such high design and fine tuning that it boggles the mind to even think about, you will enter into a phase which I like to call ‘peace, at last’. You will care nothing of spare fat, grey hairs, loose skin. You will realise, eventually, that the body’s purpose is not to look good, to attract friends, partners, successes that it is, in fact, your spirit which does all of those things. If you would only allow it to shine through and work its magic. Your body, my friends, has but one job, to see you safely through this adventure of life, to allow your spirit to reach its potential. That is it. If you are on the path of not accepting your body you are in for a very long battle against an enemy you have no power to defeat. Nature, time, biology, fate You don’t have the weapons to fight those powers. Wave the white flag. Give in. Accept. It is then that your life will truly begin. 16.01.2022 I’ve never been a fan of baked beans but tried this Homestyle Baked Beans for lunch today from the cook bible Yum! And quick to prepare too which is handy when you have to tend to a 5 month old! This will become a regular meal I think. Makes 4 serves and can be frozen. Serve with some poached eggs and spinach or if you have done some training this morning a piece of wholegrain toast.

13.01.2022 I want to share this message with you on a Monday morning. Maybe you've decided to start a new diet today? Decided to start a new exercise regime today? Decide...d today after your morning shower that your reflection isn't worthy of love. I've been there. I've been sucked in. My body has changed enormously over the years, 19 pregnancies will do that to you (I have 7 children earth side). I've not embraced this change - only loathed it. I felt that I must get back to my pre baby size, that I had to look like the 'Yummy Mummies' I see all over social media and don't get me started on that MILF culture - which I'm almost certain women begun to pick each other apart and judge each other's worthiness. Today though, my body is the heaviest it's ever been, but, I love it. It's wobbly, jiggly with bulges and cellulite - but I have made the decision to love it, in every shape, size and season, and I honestly do. When you look at me and see my size first, you do not see me. Not at all. You see yourself and your experiences, your ideals and body hang ups. It says everything about you, not me. Remember that. Living for our body today. Not for what it was way back .... in highschool, before kids, when I was able to run 5km everyday, when I was 30. Today is what matters. We take the joy away from our present moment every time we decide to compare - with our past and with others. I believe that you can also be working towards health goals, strengthening our bodies, moving our bodies, nourishing our bodies, nurturing our mental health and STILL love our bodies throughout the process. Keeping these vessels healthy is priority, but health looks different on everyone. Please know that when we meet I will always see YOU. Your light, your laughter, your heart, your soul. So don’t give up on your goals and dreams when you hit the bumps along your journey. . . Yes you may feel like you’ve been set back, You may need to take a different route, The journey may turn out different to what you planned, You may learn things you wouldn’t have learnt if you didn’t hit the bumps. . .
