Glue and Nails just doesnt cut it for longevity We jacked up the ceiling and used an entire box of screws to ensure everything was secure. ... Sometimes the damage is so severe that the entire ceiling needs replacing, but in this instance we were able to restore and keeping within the clients budget.

04.01.2022 To many Aussies, especially in the Hills district here in NSW, the TOP PICTURE seems like a near perfect hanging job. This glue it and twin nail it in the center of the sheets is NOT going to last over time. Sure its less sanding and a quicker job (which hopefully the contractor is cutting the client a better deal) But I am constantly fixing ceilings like this where over time (even a couple years) the ceiling sheets are sagging and the joints become hollow or in many ca...ses the ceiling and cornice is basically falling down, making unsafe living conditions. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Australian standards do say to use glue on ceiling sheets, which I do, but its frustrating to see blokes cutting corners by not installing appropriate amount of SCREWS to their work.
