12.01.2022 Please be careful today, and stay out of the severe weather, especially those with respiratory conditions. Severe Weather Warning for DAMAGING WINDS... For people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Lower South East and parts of West Coast, Flinders, Murraylands, Upper South East and North West Pastoral districts. Issued at 4:57 am Thursday, 19 September 2019. Strong to gale force and gusty winds across SA on Thursday. Weather Situation: A vigorous cold front will move across western and central parts of the State during Thursday and eastern parts during Friday. Damaging northerly winds, averaging 50-70 km/h with gusts of 80-100 km/h, are forecast to develop during Thursday morning across western and central parts of the warning area then extend over southeastern parts late morning and early afternoon. Winds turning west to southwesterly behind the cold front, possibly reaching 50-70 km/h in the North West Pastoral during the late afternoon and early evening. Areas of dust, reducing visibility, are possible across the State. Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Ceduna, Maitland, Kingscote, Coober Pedy, Roxby Downs and Murray Bridge. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move vehicles under cover or away from trees; * Secure or put away loose items around your property. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
