There is a common misconception that the cupping process causes these deep scarlet and purple "bruises" when in fact it is not a bruise at all. The more coldness and pain one has, the darker (blue and purple) the marks are. The mark is a meaningful indication that some variety of pathogen(s) has been brought to the surface by the drawing power of the the cupping instrument. It is also a constitutional treatment, which means it will also address the health of the patient as a whole. Very fine needles that are made especially for the face are inserted using different techniques on different areas of the face to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. 13.01.2022 HOW TO DRY FACE BRUSH "The vitality of internal organs, working properly, transcends your skin and brings radiance to your face." Dry brushing your face with soft plant bristle can rejuvenate tired, dull skin. Exfoliation is one of the most important parts of a beauty regimen. It rejuvenates and energizes your skin and improves circulation. All of these combined result in a better, healthier looking complexion.... Dry facial brushes are very effective at exfoliation, increasing circulation, draining away lymph congestion around the nose and eyes and relieving stress around your temples. The bristles have to be a soft plant bristle, like Jute. Jute is a very fine plant bristle that is delicate enough for the skin around the eyes but still very stimulating to drain away puffiness. The facial brush must not be harsh on facial skin, as it is can scratch and damage the skin. Bristles like Boar’s hair, coconut plant and Tampico plant are not suitable for delicate skin. Most people dry body brush on their bodies but forget about the face. Gentle manual facial brushing will speed up cell turnover, maximize oxygen intake, strengthen the skin’s inner structure and reverse the effects of aging. The key is to dry face brush 1-2 per week and then follow it with an organic hydration mask, or facial oil such as this one at least once per week to keep optimal hydration. How to Dry Brush the Face Use gentle upward movement to lift the facial muscles and lightly curve brush down to finish with a light brush stroke. It is in an upside down U shape. Light pressure up and soft stroke down. Starting from left to right side of face, work your way up the face from chin, lips, cheeks, side of nose, up around the eye lid and forehead. Be careful never to stretch the skin. The first couple of months be extra gentle, the sensation should be pleasantly stimulating. Stop immediately if it doesn’t feel good or your skin has an allergic reaction. How to Dry Brush Neck and Décolletage Starting on left side hold brush just above breast line and brush upward to collarbone. Working from mid to outer décolletage. Repeat this on the right side. From left side, at base of neck very lightly brush up to the jaw line and curve down to the collarbone, the point at which the head and neck drain into the lymph nodes. Repeat on right side. At first the whole procedure should only take about 60 seconds, then gradually increase the time to a couple of minutes for a great massage to the face. We recommend dry brushing 1-2 time per week to begin with until your skin gets use to dry brushing. A lot of skin is sloughed off when dry brushing the face and décolletage, so it is essential to look after your skin with a good moisturiser and use a hydration mask or facial oil 1-2 times per week also. You will notice an amazing improvement to your skin, an increase in skin tone, a beautiful new sheen and a lovely, plump hydration. Happy Brushing

07.01.2022 Spray tanning for beginners: Everything you need to know Summer is coming.... There’s no doubt a good tan makes an outfit. A healthy glow is without a doubt the best accessory, but achieving that perfect glow without the nasty side effects is an art in itself. Seasoned pros of at-home tanning can make it seem so simple but for many, going to a salon is the most foolproof way to get bronzed. But how do you prepare, what should you expect and how can you make it last? How should someone prepare for a tan? The best way to prepare for a tan is to make sure you have done any waxing or laser at least 24-hours beforehand. A light exfoliation of the skin before your tan will ensure the tan has an even surface to stick to and avoid moisturising on the day of your tan. What’s the number one thing to remember when getting a spray tan? Bring loose clothing to change into. After a tan it is super important not to put tight clothing back on the skin because this runs the risk of the tan coming off. It can also create unwanted marks on your new tan - something no one wants. What steps should you take to ensure to lasts as long as possible? Hydration is key when it comes to maintaining your tan for as long as possible. Drinking plenty of water and moisturising daily will ensure your skin is nourished inside and out. We also tell our clients to avoid long, hot showers and baths as this will cause the colour to fade much quicker. For someone who has never had a spray tan, can you walk them through the process? Once the consultation is done and perfect colour has been selected we move the client through to our tan booth where you are provided a hair cap, g-string, baby wipes for any deodorant and micellar water to wipe away the day’s makeup. When the client is changed and ready to go, the tanning technician will apply the tan with our airbrush spray gun system. There are a few moves we get you to do to ensure all areas are sprayed.
