24.01.2022 OK! Holiday's nearly over, let's get this year started, we're so excited to get back into our training at Hound Dog Fit. The new timetable is ready to go, with bookings now online via the website https://member.clubware.com.au/HoundDogFitPittswo/TimeTable... If you're ever stuck and can't remember the address, just type Clubware Hound Dog Fit into your search bar and the timetable will come up. We are encouraging everyone to pre-book their classes this year, especially important for Revolution, as numbers are strictly capped. And don't forget our Snappy New Year Challenge - starts Monday and runs through until the end of February. $150 for members gets you two Power PT sessions, a training plan, before photo in the gym and a professional photographic sitting at the end of the challenge (taken by award-winning local photographer Kaylie of Rocklie and Jae Photography). What better way to capture the beauty and strength of your amazing body than a photo shoot in the gym, and you can use any gym equipment you choose for props. Did I mention we are EXCITED to kick-start the year? Please check the timetable carefully, as there are some minor changes, and we will see you all in a couple of days!

23.01.2022 The 2020 Great Cycle Challenge starts next Thursday, October 1 and runs for the whole month. It is free to register, and every 30 minute Revolution class you do counts as 15km riding distance. While we are not setting our fundraising goal quite so high this year, the GCC is still a great opportunity to set yourself a kilometre goal for the month and improve your fitness, as well as raising money for kids cancer research, support and treatment. 16.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL OUR MEMBERS ... As the end of September draws near, the HDF team has spent time assessing and reflecting on our business model since reopening after our mandatory Covid-19 closure (we were closed from March 23 to June 3). In that time, we have endeavoured to make the management and provision of service excellence provided by HDF the focus of our day-to-day operations, as well as giving our clients an outstanding range of classes, services and products.... We would like to sincerely thank all those clients who have chosen to continue their training with HDF during such difficult times, and we whole-heartedly welcome our many new members, who have joined our client base and are gaining benefit from what we offer the community and surrounds. We also understand that the change to direct debit only has proved challenging for some of our long-standing clients, but with the move to fortnightly payments now firmly in place, the system with which we have chosen to work is proving to be efficient and fair. As you know, our goal on reopening was to work through to September, and then assess the viability of keeping HDF open as a fitness facility, and continue to provide employment and opportunities for everyone in the community to improve their health and fitness, both physical and mental. At this point in time, we are happy to report that, thanks to the incredible support of our clients, as well as the outstanding work put in by our staff, Hound Dog Fit will continue to trade as we have since reopening. Again, we cannot thank those who attend our classes, gym floor, PT sessions and community events enough, as without you, we cannot function and grow. Our team is passionate about what they do, and will continue to strive to provide excellence in service, knowledge, support, facility and friendship. Thank you.

11.01.2022 Just a reminder ... I would just like to put this out there. If your children are not around special needs children at school, and have never been taught that not everyone is the same, then maybe you could take 10 minutes tonight to explain this to them. Because even though they may not be around these children at school, they will encounter them in their lives, as it should be. In the light of recent events on the exclusion of a child who has autism from participating in a s...chool trip, and a child with Down Syndrome being kicked out of dance class because she couldn't keep up, I feel the need to share this. There are boys and girls that nobody invites to birthday parties. There are special kids who want to belong to a team but don't get selected because it is more important to win than to include these children. Children with special needs are not rare or strange; they only want what everyone else wantsto be accepted !! For all the wonderful children out there. Can I ask a question? Is there anyone willing to copy and paste this post to their wall without sharing it, like I did for those special children out there?

Here at Hound Dog Fit, we strongly oppose exercise purely for body image, we promote healthy training and eating, as well as supporting those who may be struggling with any disordered eating, whether its you or a friend. Lindy has plenty of resources and contacts if anyone is seeking help. ... The Butterfly Foundation also provides support for anyone who may be struggling.
