23.01.2022 Today was my first day back at my part time job at Jeanswest! I actually washed my hair and wore highlighter for the first time in 10 weeks slowly returning back to how the world was. Learning to adapt to a new routine and this new normal. Another mummy with her 9 month old came into the change rooms and as I was helping her find a new pair of jeans she was telling me all about herself. I could tell she was just like me and super excited to be having an adult conversatio...n in person by the speed at which the words were coming out. She then apologised for talking none stop, I said dont be silly ! How good is it to have human interaction again ! To have a conversation face to face !. Im such a people person ! I love hearing peoples stories and even more so, having a positive impact on someones life! I love being a personal trainer and I cant wait until the gyms reopen !! But if we all do our best to follow the rules put in place to keep us safe, stay positive, move our bodies, make healthy meals, help a friend/stranger in need and show kindness WE WILL all get through this together !

22.01.2022 Soooo excited for my delivery today! Lately I have been having a bit of trouble with my skin so its been my mission to balance out my hormones. Some of the things I have been doing are, -upped my greens -upped antioxidant rich foods like berries -having anti inflammatory spices like cinnamon and turmeric -drinking 4 litres of water a day ... -exercising regularly -going to bed early -trying to keep zen Also been playing around with my diet to see what works best for me and my body by cutting out dairy which causes inflammation. This is a plant based protein. I have always used whey protein in the past so it will be interesting to see how I go with it! 22.01.2022 At this time of year its easy to lose sight of all those wonderful New Years resolutions you made. Its been a couple of weeks and the motivation might be starting to fade So its the perfect time to hit RESET! And REFOCUS! For the next 5 weeks Im making 3 simple promises to myself... 1: Drink 2+ litres of water a day 2: 10,000 steps per day 3: 4x workouts per week Health and well-being doesnt have to be as complicated as what social media makes it out to be! Its back to basics that will leave you feeling reenergised Who is with me !?!

19.01.2022 Do you stretch enough ?!! Today Im going to stretch for 30 minutes! Lets end the week with something that makes us feel gooood !! We all love stretching ! During a workout its the best bit! But lets be honest, its often something that gets missed or rushed. When in reality we should be doing it every single day ! ... So Im going to put on some relaxing music and treat myself! I am so thankful for all the amazing people I have met along the way! life is so good Bring on 2018 ! 17.01.2022 Healthy Anzac biscuit recipe Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup desiccated coconut... 1/2 cup crushed walnuts 1 tsp vanilla essence 1 tsp baking powder 1/3 cup rice malt syrup 1 tbsp coconut oil melted 3 tbsp Nutlex butter melted Method: 1: Preheat over to 180 degrees Celsius 2:Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well 3: press mixture into a tablespoon to make shape ( the mixture will stick together once baked) 4: Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown 5: Allow biscuits to sit on try until cooled enough to stick together Enjoy!! 15.01.2022 Lets talk bed time routine ! Yes just like babys us adults need a solid bedtime routine to get our bodies prepared for a good nights sleep! Sleep is one of the most important aids in recovery, mental health and over all well being! you can only workout as hard as what you can recover from! My bedtime routine looks like this,... A few stretches while Im chilling watching TV ( of course it would be even better with the TV off and lite a candle instead, but hey lets be realistic Im not going to stick to that ! Amazing if you do lol!) take my magnesium supplement half an hour before bed I go into my room, put on my lamp a warm light, set my alarm and put on my relaxing music. I try and make this the last time I look at my phone (Im still working on that though ). I listen to the exact same sound every night, its the music I listened to while I was in labour The app I use is called relax melodies and I use the sound Eternity I think I have used it for like 4 years haha I have a shower and put on my face oil then get into PJs and hop into bed I write in my gratitude journal then I read for about 10 minutes reading puts me straight to sleep probably why I hated school so much Then I SLEEP !!!! What does your bedtime routine look like ?! If you dont have one, now Is the perfect time to put one in place ! Sleep is so so important P.S. my heart goes out to all the mummas with young bubs ! 11.01.2022 Chocolate protein balls Chocolate protein powder X 5 scoops Coconut oil melted 1 tbsp Peanut butter 1 tbsp Syrup 1 tbsp... Walnuts chopped 1/4 cup Desiccated coconut enough to dip balls into Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix! Measure out balls with a tablespoon ( I suck at this all my balls are different sizes ). Put coconut onto a place. Dip each ball in until the outside is covered and your done ! I keep mine in the freezer for two reasons! 1, out of sight out of mind ! I cant be trusted with them in the fridge looking at me 2, they go hard and take longer to eat! Everything in moderation! 11.01.2022 5 week progress photos Before wearing size M maternity leggings After wearing size S normal leggings Ok these are not your usual before and afters but I wanted to show you the changes you can make by adding these 3 simple habits to your day... 1- Drink 2+ litres of water 2- 10,000+ steps 3- Complete 4+ workouts per week As you know I have been consistently doing this for the past 5 weeks and Im feeling fabulous! I havent undergone any crazy diet restrictions! I havent smashed my body with 2 workouts a day ! And I havent stressed myself out or filled my head with negative self talk These 3 steps have become enjoyable habits. I feel thirsty if I havent drunk enough water, my body is naturally giving me signs that Im dehydrated. I find myself moving my body more trying to get more steps in during the day and I have been absolutely loving my workouts PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION! This is my life! Not some crazy shred thats impossible to stick to and you wind up putting back on all the weight you lost. I have found happiness in the journey. Im feeling stronger and have a more positive mental state If your feeling stuck and ready to make a change, start with these 3 things! 10.01.2022 Healthy Choc Chip & Almond cookies yesterday I was in the mood to get creative in the kitchen and satisfy my sweet tooth so these happenedHere is a rough recipe as I was just making it up as I went 1 egg, 1 egg yoke, 3 tbs melted coconut oil, 3/4 cup coconut sugar (mix well, then add in dry ingredients) 1 1/4 cup Buckwheat flour, 1 tsp baking powder, add in as much chocolate chips and nuts as you like. I used dark cacao buttons and dry roasted almonds chopped up. Bake for 15mins on 190 degrees. Easy ! Now not to eat them all at once #healthycooking #itsfuntobake

06.01.2022 Nutella Bliss Balls !! I dont mean to toot my own horn but these babies are some of my best and so easy! Chocolate protein powder (optional I made half with half without), cacao powder, raw hazelnuts (half blended/half roughly chopped), cashew nut butter, rice malt syrup, coconut oil, chia seeds, hemp seeds and a dash of water. Put all ingredients into a bowl and roll balls ! Delicious!! The ones without my protein powder seriously tastes like Nutella!! Now to put them in the freezer and try to forget about them

03.01.2022 After over indulging in the Christmas, New Years silly season! It's time to rehydrate, de bloat and get my body back to feeling good! First step ! a serious sweat sesh! Now to love my insides! And I'm so excited I made a green smoothie I actually like! never happens ! I always get carried away with the greens and it tastes disgusting! And I fall off the green smoothie wagon within a week ...But I have met myself in the middle finding a combo that I will actually enjoy! 100g frozen mango, 1.5 cups of coconut water, big handful of baby spinach leaves 1 teaspoon of pineapple flavour greens powder, 1 teaspoon of chia seeds and add as much ice and water to the consistency you like ! 01.01.2022 9 months in - 9 months out ! What a year! This has been the biggest body and mind transformations I have ever gone through. I am so incredibly proud of my body and creating my perfect little human Ruben Everyone told me pre baby, the baby weight will melt off you when you start breastfeeding or you will snap back after Bub is born... HA! Absolutely not the case for me it has taken a lot of work. I havent done anything extreme but focused on consistency with a well b...alanced diet and exercise. Progress not Perfection ! This has been my moto this year. Taking the pressure off myself to look a certain way by a certain time frame has really changed my whole mindset when it comes to my health and happiness! It has made me get excited about my workouts and having some me time at the gym! Becoming a mummy has changed me in so many ways, giving me body confidence is just one I am so thankful for. Im excited to announce in January 2020 Im returning to Personal Training! It is my passion helping others and sharing some extra tips and tricks I have learnt while being on maternity leave!
