19.01.2022 Love this quote! I would bet a lot of money that nearly everyone has an issue with comparing to others at one point or another in life. It can be so detrimental, Oh she does things that way...... She looks leaner than me.... She looks like she's got it all together.... She doesn't look like she struggles with much.... She is prettier than me.... What I really like in this quote is the reminder that we should focus on ourselves and how far we've grown as a person each day. What have we done to improve ourselves today? NOT compare to someone else because you don't know how hard they've worked to get where they are. It takes work to develop yourself whether it be physically, mentally and emotionally. Work every single day so we may as well look at ourselves because that's our benchmark. Joy comes in the doing, the striving, the growing NOT the comparing.

19.01.2022 Fri 9.15am circuit for a mixture of strength and cardio exercises. Leave feeling satisfied and sweaty Our circuit classes- Tues 6.15am, Wed 9.15am, Fri 9.15am, Sat 9.15am Book a trial on our website www.bodyvision.com.au

19.01.2022 72 years old and kicking goals in the gym This is Tarsh's mum Julia. What a great example of how young your attitude to life can be.... It's amazing how different mindsets and life choices and attitudes there are out there. I'm sure we all know people in their 70's who think and act OLD. Your attitude is everything. Well done Julia, keep up the amazing work.

19.01.2022 BODY VISION UPDATE FROM MICHELLE (For some reason I was not able to post onto this page but now after months it has corrected itself!) Hi there everyone, Hoping this post finds you all well. Its been a very challenging year for us all and a huge eye opener to how quickly things can turn upside down!... Lots of resilience was required to change and innovate to keep going and home school! Its been great offering a safe alternative to our clients via the online classes Facebook group during this time. Thank you to those who have reached out with your feedback, positive and kind comments and general support. I am blown away at the resilience and discipline that you awesome people have shown each week. You inspire me and have lifted me up over the last 7 months. A heartfelt thank you to you all. These online classes will be part of Body Visions ongoing offers as we know how convenient it is to train at home (sometimes) or take us with you on holidays so you keep in routine. As the restrictions start easing we are able to offer more to our clients- From 28th Sept 26th Oct we can offer outdoor Personal training, either one on one or two people. (30 mins or 45 mins sessions) From Oct 26th to Nov 23rd we can run outdoor classes with up to 10 people. From Nov 23rd, with safety measures in place, we will be able to welcome you to the new studio. I know just how keen many of you are for this stage and believe me so are we! Please let me know (0428418999) if you would like to book a Personal Training session outdoors. I can then call and have a chat to organize it with you. The weather is getting better and our mood can definitely be enhanced for the better with some structured exercise to get you slowly back into some movement other than walking. We are getting excited to see your familiar faces back to regular exercise. Its been far too long and we have missed the daily interaction with you all. Contact us soon to book your 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 session for 4 weeks. Please indicate your interest and preferred time/day for the outdoor classes option. Looking forward to getting back to normality. 18.01.2022 Are you the kind of person who has tried every diet out there or bought a pantry full of expensive supplements, super foods or workout shakes in the pursuit of the quick weight loss dream? To get results quicker you do all the latest trendy things like intermittent fasting .You lose a couple of kilos ( water) at the start but then end up staying the same and wonder why the weight is not coming off? Onto the next quick fix...... You want to find a faster, better way to lose fat so you can look great and feel amazing... Maybe if you're like I once was, you'll think if you do cardio every day (sometimes twice a day), that will speed up the process. Or cutting your daily calorie intake to the point that all you do is think of food and get h-angry. If only there was a shortcut or secret...everyone would be where they wanted to be. But I can't emphasize this enough - If you think there's something else out there, if you think there's a better way, if you think these short cut programs are going to get you long term results that you can sustain .....you're focusing on the wrong thing. Just like I was in the past. What I learnt through years of searching is the only way to get your body how you want it to be, is to use the tools you've been given and build it with your own hands step by step, month by month, year by year. This is not the quick way to do things, sure 1200 calorie diets work in the short term but I haven't met anyone (and I've worked with hundreds of women) who can stick to it. Then the weight just piles back on because the person can't starve themselves anymore. Instead of looking for an instant result, look for constant progress. Your own progress, not comparing to others. Start lifting weights. Make sure there is progressive overload in your training.( Progressively increasing weights) Constantly aiming to get stronger. This will change your muscle to fat ratio and help you lose fat and make you look leaner and smaller in your clothes. Look at your daily food intake. Are you getting the minimum recommendation of 90 grams of protein? You can't grow muscle unless you eat a diet that will support muscle growth and fat loss. If you would like someone to look at your daily food intake and give you some hints, please reach out. Constantly progressing each and every day is the key, getting enough sleep, eating well and training smart all add up to progress and ultimately results that you can keep without stress. Book a chat with Michelle if you want more direction with your body and you are sick of the quick fix mentality. The Body Vision EAT TRAIN program will be available in Jan 2021. The way of the future in Pro Metabolic eating and training., creating lasting change.

14.01.2022 Self isolation is going to be the PERFECT environment to exacerbate many peoples issues with binge eating, emotional eating, mindless eating, snacking and grazing. Watch out ...it will sneak up before you know it! You dont need to be an expert to know this means putting on weight! ... Youre bored. Youre stressed with trying to do your job and the whole family under one roof at the same time. Youre fearful and anxious about friends & family, health, and perhaps work & money too. Youre having lots of moments like, whats the point?, I cant workout or stick to my diet anyway, Ill make up for it tomorrow etc. You are way out of routine- the horse has bolted analogy.... IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY Focus on one thing at a time to get you back on track, to keep you on track. Commit to doing one positive thing for your health then build on that each day. Don't keep looking at external factors, focus on what you can control in your own home. Our community doesn't give up. Don't give in to the mindless pit of apathy. Be the driver of your own outcomes and create the life you want even in times of adversity. Join our online community to get you out of your rut. Pilates Barre Circuit Toning Kids Yoga Message to book.

14.01.2022 Our Sat circuit class was at capacity and everyone worked very hard with the mixture of cardio and strength exercises. Greg is on the boxing bag as an alternative cardio exercise to jumping due to a foot injury. We modify for our clients and make sure they get a great workout regardless of injuries and niggles. Great to see so many people back into their routine after holidays. Routine is great as it helps you mentally and on a physical level. ... You don't get progress by stopping and starting. Make that 1% progress each day and that will add up as the days and weeks go by. Make a start and book a trial with us- www.bodyvision.com.au See more

14.01.2022 Early birds getting back into the swing of 6.15am classes back on the timetable after Jan holidays. They got their workout in before the really hot day kicked in. Great work Friday HIIT class

14.01.2022 Body Vision is still working hard to deliver workouts to our clients in an online capacity. If you think online training isn't as effective, think again. Workouts are effective wherever you are, as you can see, you can do them in your garage- they are for your continued routine to make life as normal as possible. ... You can do them in the 6am timeslot if that's what you're used to or night time training or do them live with us. Mentally and emotionally they provide that charge of energy and endorphins to brighten your day. You still feel connected as a community and the sense of fellowship and motivation is high as we all interact as the wonderful fitness family that we are. There is no reason to stop your training especially when no one can tell us how long this is going to go on for. We are open and still providing you challenging workouts studio or no studio. Contact us to start back again. As a Virgin flight attendant stated-'Tough times don't last, tough people do.' All the best to you and yours, stay safe and see you in the online group.

11.01.2022 Keep exercising BodyVisioners! We need it for our sanity. If you have to stay home, switch over to our online classes and do them with us or in your own time.... Keep supporting small business.

11.01.2022 This is what happens when you take 4 weeks off your training girls. As Catherine says, keep training regularly or you will pay for it

11.01.2022 Do you constantly sabotage yourself by binge eating? Do you hate yourself for it? Is there more to the bingeing?... Are you trying to forget about the stresses in your life or you just don't want to deal with them? Are you living 24/7 in the emotional pain of not feeling good enough, and unable to truly love or accept yourself? Thats an incredibly stressful place to live, so OF COURSE youre going to sabotage yourself. Youre going to have to find ways to numb yourself from the emotional pain of not feeling good enough. And whats always there for you as an immediate comfort or distraction? FOOD When you dont feel good enough your emotions are constantly all over the place. Youll be up and down like a yo-yo. So of course youre going to have plenty of moments when you say things to yourself like Whats the point? Its useless! Just one more time. I promise this is the last time! So the truth is that if you DONT love or accept yourself, your chances of failure go through the roof. Does learning to love yourself guarantee that youll become skinny, lean, slim etc? Not necessarily. Its highly likely that youll lose weight because you wont have anywhere near as much emotional pain that leads to emotional eating. But if the ONLY reason you ever wanted to lose weight in the first place was to escape the emotional pain of feeling insecure, self conscious, or not feeling good enough, thats not a good enough reason. You MUST address the complete picture. A real solution that actually works - that enables you to get into the best shape of your life and stay in shape year round MUST include the following factors: Eliminate both the habit of binge eating and the emotional blockages that create it and sustain it in the first place. Learn to regulate your emotional state internally. And of course a lifelong approach to nutrition and fitness that is sustainable year round So many women are stuck in - Whats wrong with me? Why cant I do this? Maybe Im just meant to be this way! Theyve started to lose hope and faith. OF COURSE you never succeeded in the past. Even if youve struggled for decades, none of that means you cant do it. You havent even gotten CLOSE to a real solution that actually works and addresses the complete big picture. So if youre finally ready to not only get the body you love and stay in shape year round, but finally create true self worth and self confidence, and experience the level of emotional freedom and happiness youve always wanted then you know what to do. What are you waiting for? PS If you know you are hiding from your own potential, struggling with binge/emotional eating or battling with low self worth and lacking confidence. Its time to start recognizing that you are worth it and what better time to start than 2020! Message Michelle to get started.

11.01.2022 Too much stress is bad for the body. Try and stay calm, do meditation or moderate exercise to get the stress levels down. Keep up your normal routine wherever possible.... We will all get through this together.

11.01.2022 To all our wonderful clients- MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR-2020 You have been a joy to work with, laugh, cry, socialise and be inspired... with as we navigated the ups and downs of 2019. We have a supportive community of women who enjoy the benefits of exercising regularly. Exercise gets them up and out of bed, out of the house when they would have easily stayed in bed avoiding the outside world. It gets them talking and socialising, lifting their spirits when they've had a bad week. It gets them focusing on themselves when all their extra energy is for everyone else. It gets them feeling positive and confident rather than negative and introverted. Here's a testimonial from one of our regular clients who attends 5 classes weekly summing up the year- 'I have been a member of Body Vision for close to 2 years. I have never found a gym like this before. Michelle is an amazing and warm trainer who gets satisfaction from the results of her clients. The people I have met at Body Vision are so friendly and supportive of each other. We have formed such a wonderful friendship group. As soon as I walk into Body Vision, I let out a sigh of relief due to the hectic morning and immediately feel relaxed. There is such a wide range of classes so I never get bored and always feel motivated to do the class. I have depression and anxiety and always struggled with body image. Since joining Body Vision I have noticed a dramatic change. As I became fitter and healthier, my mind started to respond. I am the happiest I have ever been both mentally and physically and it is all due to Michelle. Michelle is very knowledgeable and will also share what she knows about diet, menopause and overall health and fitness. I owe Michelle a lot and I will always be happy I walked into Body Vision. I recently wore a bikini for the first time at the age of 42. I was not so self critical of myself and my husband noticed the change in me. Thank you to Body Vision for giving me the confidence! ' Jocelyn MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MICHELLE, TARSH, HELEN, ALEX, RITA AND SILVANA.XXXX

08.01.2022 Why do you binge on weekends? You are good all week, you use discipline and control and then Friday night comes along and it all turns to you know what. Why does this happen?... The restrict-binge cycle is so prevalent in our society, especially for women. You will stick to salads and chicken or tuna and get so sick of feeling hungry that you rebound on weekends telling yourself you'll start again on Monday The pressure to diet to lose fat and fit into your old clothes or buy new ones is always there. The pressure from friends to have 'one more drink' or have that dessert at the restaurant..... You feel conflicted because you don't want to be the only one not eating and drinking, it's rude not to.... And so the cycle continues Excessive restriction > rebound > every week!! Most people go on a diet because its the lesser of two evils: I hate being overweight, but I also hate dieting. Which one do I hate the least? Either way youre hating life. Most women dont want to feel fat, self conscious, embarrassed, etc. These are things they want to get rid of, or not feel anymore. The only times they really feel any serious motivation are when these negative emotions get so bad they cant tolerate it anymore. That type of emotional pain is great to kickstart somebody into action at the beginning. But of course its unsustainable as a long term source of motivation because youre hating the whole process. So you rebel and fall into the 'let yourself have junk' trap. Then come Sunday night you feel guilty and like youve let yourself down. You DONT want to feel like a failure. You DONT want to feel like youre out of control. You DONT want to keep struggling with your body. So you start again on Monday So of course eating healthily, or dieting, or whatever approach youre trying to follow has no positive emotions associated with it. Its something you feel you HAVE to do, or SHOULD do. Its not something you WANT to do. It's no wonder you let yourself go on the weekends. What if there's more to your struggle? What if it goes deep and taps in the emotional, mental areas of 'you'? If you would like support to address these issues, contact Michelle. 0428418999 or message.

07.01.2022 It's fantastic to see our members accessing and doing our online classes at home. They can do the classes with us live or in their own time. We are connecting as a community through this online space and it's keeping our member's morale and sanity up, not to mention their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.... Julie, Chris and baby Zavier made the most of their backyard and did our latest Circuit 30 class. If you are stuck at home climbing the walls and would like to join our online community for a while, please message for more information . No equipment needed. Family friendly classes.

02.01.2022 Hi guys, Letting you know that I am now taking 3 Private clients for my VIP ONLINE course, this is for women wanting to up level their health! Message me on here for more info. Michelle

01.01.2022 This is the result of a super intense boxing session

01.01.2022 Are you a quitter? Do you quit after the first failure? You didn't lose X amount of weight in X amount of time so you give up altogether?... You couldn't stick to a healthy eating plan so you went off the rails? You binge on weekends to make up for the lack of food and nutrients you neglected your body of during the week. Success is built on many failures. Stop quitting when the going gets a bit tough and you're not seeing progress. Build your committment muscle and do the work required to reach your goal. If you fail, get back up and keep going because the alternative is destructive to your health. Anything in life requires work and no one else can do it for you. Reach out if you need help getting to a place of consistency because in my experience, those who turn up, get the results.
