19.01.2022 Welcome to Melbourne’s new normal! As many of you know, we have all been wearing masks in our clinic for many weeks now, so along with sanitising surfaces and changing linen after each patient we are keeping our rooms as safe for you as possible. Fiona and Jaci are working their usual hours so feel free to book on 98704455 or online via bodybalanceosteopathy.com.au

06.01.2022 In the face of growing numbers of COVID cases and a return of stage 3 restrictions, it can be hard to remain positive and optimistic. And then Mother Nature gives us this! Hang in there everyone - if we’ve flattened the curve before, we can do it again! The clinic is open for business as usual. Please reschedule your appointment if you have a cough, runny nose, sore throat or fever, have been in any of the hotspot locations in Melbourne in the last couple of weeks, or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19. We kindly request all patients wear a mask during their treatment session (as we do).

05.01.2022 Making some masks with my grandma’s old sewing machine. Whilst homemade cloth masks are great because they are reusable, keep in mind that they are not medical grade. Jaci and Fiona wear medical grade masks while treating to keep you as safe as possible. #wearamask #osteopathringwood #flattenthecurve

02.01.2022 These current coronavirus restrictions present many challenges including loneliness, boredom and financial stress, to name a few. But as Abraham Low said, If you can’t change a situation, you can change your attitude towards it. Some of these strategies may help: 1) spend less time watching the news, 2) spend more time out in nature with your phone switched off! 3) connect with people regularly, be it family, friends or a stranger on the street, 4) identify a few (or many) things you can be grateful for e.g. fresh food, your pet, a nice neighbour. While Jaci and Fiona are only allowed to treat urgent cases at the moment, we may be able to help you with a telehealth appointment or give us a call if you just need to chat. #osteopathringwood #wearamask #magnolia #stayhealthy

01.01.2022 It occurred to Pooh and Piglet that they hadn't heard from Eeyore for several days, so they put on their hats and coats and trotted across the Hundred Acre Wood... to Eeyore's stick house. Inside the house was Eeyore. "Hello Eeyore," said Pooh. "Hello Pooh. Hello Piglet," said Eeyore, in a Glum Sounding Voice. "We just thought we'd check in on you," said Piglet, "because we hadn't heard from you, and so we wanted to know if you were okay." Eeyore was silent for a moment. "Am I okay?" he asked, eventually. "Well, I don't know, to be honest. Are any of us really okay? That's what I ask myself. All I can tell you, Pooh and Piglet, is that right now I feel really rather Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. Which is why I haven't bothered you. Because you wouldn't want to waste your time hanging out with someone who is Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All, would you now." Pooh looked at Piglet, and Piglet looked at Pooh, and they both sat down, one on either side of Eeyore in his stick house. Eeyore looked at them in surprise. "What are you doing?" "We're sitting here with you," said Pooh, "because we are your friends. And true friends don't care if someone is feeling Sad, or Alone, or Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. True friends are there for you anyway. And so here we are." "Oh," said Eeyore. "Oh." And the three of them sat there in silence, and while Pooh and Piglet said nothing at all; somehow, almost imperceptibly, Eeyore started to feel a very tiny little bit better. Because Pooh and Piglet were There. No more; no less. (A.A. Milne, E.H. Shepard) This is National Suicide Prevention Week. #mentalhealth #Friends #Friendship
