This also may be a cause of straight neck/ loss of cervical kyphosis which many neck and back pain sufferers have. /////////////////////////// 1Try reading on your tummy. 2Put a pillow under abdomen-pelvis to avoid jamming the lower back. 3In addition, keep the neck in neutral (functional position). This can help to strengthen postural muscles, deep neck flexors while reading.4Although when you are reading in in a better position, dont forget to change posture and move frequently.

06.01.2022 Walk everyday!!! One of most frequently asked questions is what exercise should I do? If you havent been exercising, walking is a great start. Walk 10 mins daily. Gradually increase its time, distance and speed. Walking is a fundamental human movement. Aim to walk 10000steps a day. In addition, walk backwards. This helps to activates quadriceps & promote better knee extension. Weak quads are one of major causes of knee issues. Start from a simple thing, then modify and improve to the next level.

This is a very useful test to examine whether the patient has a dysfunctional movement pattern or not. If you can touch, check the following criteria as well. 1. Do legs/knees maintain straight? 2. Do you have backward shift of your pelvis? 3. Is your sacrum tilting 70degrees forward? 4. The spine shows a uniform curve? If you dont meet any of these, its classified as d...ysfunctional movement patten. This functional movement problem can lead to all sorts of problems, not limited to back pain, knee & ankle issues and lower athletic performance. The causes of the dysfunction may be hamstrings tightness and/or hip immobility and/or motor control problem, etc With the complete the functional movement assessment, we can find where the problem is coming from.
