25.01.2022 8 Week Challenge - STUDIO WINNER After a tough 8 weeks of hard training and clean eating, the time has finally come to announce our Studio Winner. So, without further ado, our Winner is... Clodagh Tate Clodagh has been with us for almost a year now and her consistency in training never falters. She enters and leave every session with a smile on her face, and her bubbly personality is a great presence to have in the Club Whilst she always trains hard, Clodagh noticea...bly kicked it up a notch throughout the Challenge and her efforts clearly paid off. Overall, Clodagh managed to achieve: 5.7% Body Fat Loss Visceral Fat down 31cm 5.7kg Loss in Body Fat Mass Biological Age down to 29 from 31 0.4kg Muscle Mass Gained Once again a big congratulations to Clodagh and to all those that participated in our Challenge. 21.01.2022 10 reasons behind strength training 1. Increase strength - A well planned training programme will increase your overall strength and durability. 2. Stronger tendons and ligaments - strength training has been shown to increase the strength of connective tissues and therefore improves joint stability.... 3. Increase metabolic rate - strength training increases your resting metabolic rate (the rate your body burns calories) due to an increase in muscle mass. You hit those MEPs in the class, 50m is added to our total rowing meters. 10.01.2022 -FROM THE COMMUNITY- - why you train at BFT? I train at Body Fit because I love weights, strength progression and being pushed to my limits. Cam, Caitlin and Ed are a wealth of knowledge. The best part is being greeted with a smile EVERY session. These guys have created a small family community out of its members. Side note: banging tunes can rustle up some slight dancing in between sets. - what has BFT done for you so far?... Its made me fall in love with exercise again. I went through a plateau after exercising at a commercial gym. I lost the motivation to push myself. Body Fit gave me a swift kick up the b*tt and I couldnt be more grateful. - what advice would you give to someone wanting to try BFT? Just show up. When I first started my fitness journey, I was so afraid to go to a gym. I had no idea what to do. The difference between commercial gyms and Body Fit is the people and support. A cardio session laser focused on you, where each individual follows specifically prescribed heart rate zones to reach for work and recovery periods. This program will take your fitness to the next level (if you stick to the program!) You will keep moving at a lower intensity through the recovery periods, to bring your heart rate down to the recommended target zone, before cranking ...it back up to get those heart rates soaring again! Although you may feel like this directly after class, exercise is a massive factor in improving mental health through reducing stress, increasing self esteem and alleviating anxiety. The team training we promote at BFT also encourages bonds to form with like-minded people. The 50 minutes you put in with our classes will help make you a stronger person both mentally and physically

08.01.2022 The Benchmark week 2 - Load Last week was all about familiarisation, this week is all about the LOAD! Our rep range for Strength hasnt increased too much on last week, but we have added an extra set to increase the load and get you into the groove of adjusting your technique, working on deficiencies or weaknesses and allowing your bodies to feel what a little extra weight on the bar feels like.... Our HIRT session includes some exercises that have specifically been programmed in order to compliment our Strength and Hyper sessions. As we dont introduce upper body Hyper until next week, our HIRT session is upper body focused and includes some grip strength exercises (Hanging knee tuck and rows). These exercises will also be progressed over the next two weeks. Its important for you to understand the reason we prescribe such exercises. i.e. grip strength (farmers carry) transfers to better grip and tension on the bar in our deadlifts. The added push ups and presses are also prescribed to build up strength capacity in our upper body for our bench press testing. Cardio Summit and HIIT sessions have also ramped up this week with some increased intensity. Lets get stuck in!

We love how challenging the classes are, the variety of workouts and the banter from the coaches!
