She attended every session, and when she was forced to work from home, she still managed to get her sessions in at BFT Fitzroy so she didnt miss out! 25.01.2022 Do you know what one common reason for lower back pain is? A weak core. We see many come through the doors and compromise their lower backs due to a weakened core. It is so important to strengthen your core team in order for it to take the load and protect your back! If you find your back starting to take the load, don't go as far down and focus on smaller movements to help strengthen and engage your core. Over time you will get stronger and can come down lower. ... This here is strong form.

Training solo is hard and thats why you dont have to do it alone at home. With our BFT2U online workout program, you still have access to the same great workouts with your favourite trainers, from the comfort of your home. 24.01.2022 Coach @sonjakota from our sister studio, Hampton, has outdone herself AGAIN. Save, share, recreate- let us see if you make this one. Banana Bread ... Ingredients 4-5 Medium Bananas Mashed 2 cups of All-Purpose Flour Sifted 1/2 cup Honey 5 tbs Coconut Oil Melted (or butter) 2 Eggs 1 cup of Walnuts Roughy Chopped 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract 1 Tsp Baking Soda 1 Tsp Cinnamon 1/2 Tsp Ground All Spice 1/2 Tsp Salt Method 1. Preheat oven to 175C (fan-forced). 2. In a large bowl whisk together Coconut Oil, Bananas and Honey. 3. Once combined, whisk in the Eggs. 4. Add Baking Soda, Salt, Cinnamon, All Spice and Vanilla - whisk until well combined. 5. Using a rubber spatula, mix in the Flour and Walnuts until just combined- try to avoid over mixing. 6. Transfer into a lined baking tin. Set timer for 35 minutes, when the timer goes off place a sheet of foil over top to avoid over-browning, set timer for another 10 minutes. 7. A toothpick should come out clean- if not return to oven for another few minutes. 8. Let Banana Bread cool in the tin for another 10 minutes before removing and setting aside to finish cooling... or enjoy warm.

Ingredients 2 Cans Chickpeas, drained and rinsed 3 Lemonds, juiced 1.5 Tbsp Almond Butter Approx. 1/4-1/3 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 Tbsp Siracha Hot Sauce 1-2 Tsp Cumin 1-2 Tsp Smoked Paprika Method 1. Combine everything into a food processor tasting regularly and adding spices until desired taste achieved. 2. Serve with a drizzle of extra virgin oil, dried chilli flakes and semi-dried or fresh parsley. NOTE: The proportions listed under 'approx.' are exactly that... approximated. Start with LESS, frequently taste test and add until desired taste and consistency is achieved. ENJOY

09.01.2022 Mmmmmm who else loves pancakes? These ones have an added protein hit...the perfect post Body Fit breaky. Thanks coach @sonjakota for this winner! Save this recipe and tag us if you recreate it.... Ingredients - 2 whole eggs - 1 Banana - Approx 25g vanilla protein powder - 1/4 cup of oats - Dash of almond milk - 1/4 tsp cinnamon - 1 tsp vanilla extract Method - Blend together all ingredients in a Nutri-bullet or something similar - Spray pan lightly with your choice of oil over medium heat - Pour mixture into a pan in desired pancake size proportions - Put a lid over the pan and wait until almost cooked through (air bubbles should begin to form on top) - Flip and cook for another 30 sec- 1 min - Repeat with remaining batter - Top with your choice of toppings (our favourite is frozen berries and peanut butter) If you want more healthy recipes like this, DM us to join our Whatsapp foodie group.

06.01.2022 TECHNIQUE THURSDAY Today we are unpacking the Front Squat Correct form key points ... Bar racked up on the front of the shoulder Elbows point to the opposite wall Note* there can be quite a bit of tension on the wrist when you first get used to holding the bar in this position Anterior tilt of the pelvis (tuck your bum under) Knees pushing out, trying to get a deep into the squat as you can while keeping your weight in the heels of your feet Common errors Holding the bar away from the body, using upper body strength rather than resting on the front of the shoulders Elbows tracking down toward the ground Core not engaged resulting in pressure in the lower back Weight coming into the toes, heels lifting at the bottom of the movement Based on the above, which is the correct and which is the incorrect form when you start your front squat? 10 points to anyone who guesses correctly (we can transfer those points to burpees for our coaches if you like )
