21.01.2022 Goal achieved! 28kg down! Shout out to Mel Davidson for absolutely smashing goals! Mel’s health and fitness journey has not come easy or fast! She has put in the work and has stayed consistent throughout. One of Mel goals was to feel comfortable to wear a crop while training and oh did she achieve that today! You go girl! ... Mel has learnt how to understand her body by training smarter , listening to the way she feels, eating according to her goals and without deprivation or restriction . Instead she has taken a sustainable lifestyle approach and trusted the guidance of her coaches through different phases of her journey in order to make continual progression. Today is just another stepping stone in her book but very much one to be celebrated! You are phenomenal women and we are so proud of you!

Simply put, in order to become more muscular or stronger, you must continually make your muscles work harder than they're used to. Most often, that means increasing the resistance but there are also some other methods e.g reps, frequency, volume.... The progressive-overload principle doesn't apply just to lifting weights to increase muscle growth and strength; it can also be applied to cardiovascular-fitness programs, creating physiological changes that affect aerobic metabolism and the cardiorespiratory system. 05.01.2022 Our Friday Feature goes to ... Prue Coates This amazing women has absolutely taken charge of her health and fitness goals and is smashing it! ... In just over 7 weeks, Prue has dropped 12.6kg in Body Fat (6 of these being visceral fat). She has also gained 4kg in Skeletal Muscle which in turn has bought her Bio age down by 12 years as shown on her Evolt Scan comparison! Absolutely phenomenal! We are so damn proud of you Prue! This is a reflection of your commitment, your dedication and trust in the process! Alongside this Prue has learnt to eat according to her goals and in a healthy and sustainable way without restriction by flexibility dieting and tracking her macros. This allows her to eat a well-rounded nutrient dense diet with some soul food as well. Prue also trains regularly and really focuses on making progression in her strength training . 04.01.2022 Not all body composition improvements require a low calorie diet! Some times more is better than less and will produce a healthier, more sustainable and better result! Take Matty here, we bumped up his intake to 2900cals a day. His body was burning so efficiently, we again boosted up his intake to around 3200cals and are still getting a good response. Matty lost around 7kg in this time while his performance went from strength to strength! ... Now imagine he took a cookie cutter approach or went on a poorly designed diet plan or challenge that does not take into consideration his lifestyle factors, individual body composition needs, food preferences and bio-feedback. There would probably not be much of Matty left . Our point here is dont fall in the trap of going on fad diets or restrictive and extremely low calorie meal plans. These may get good results in the short term while you are on them but do not teach you about your individual needs, are not sustainable and most likely will take you back to where you started. If you are really ready to start understanding your individual needs to achieve your goals get in touch, we would love to help you! Well done Matty, we are so proud of you!
