22.01.2022 Stressed. Wired. These are common feelings in society these days. 15mins may be all you need! Turn off the technology and try this routine in low light with some camomile tea (if you like it of course!) before bed or before you start your day #Repost @fitfunnel with @get_repost... #Yoga @fitfunnel #bodyworxfunctionaltherapies See more

12.01.2022 It is with a shattered heart that I have to let everyone know of your passing. You are an amazing father, step-father, son, brother, uncle, friend, fiancé and my best friend in the entire world. You were already an incredible therapist and would have gone on to do great things. I’ll miss you everyday and just hope that somewhere inside you knew how loved you were. There are no more demons where you are now and my only comfort is that you’re not in pain anymore. I found all ...our favourite photos and I’ll put all your favourite songs with them when I figure out how. I will always love you, just now with a broken heart Bodyworx will be closed for now. Thank you for your understanding. Pip

06.01.2022 Stretching is not a warm up! Exercising at home is fantastic and it’s great to hear that so many people have been staying active! But are you warming up adequately? Whether you are going for a run around the block or preparing to lift some heavy weight, doing a sufficient warm up is vital to get the most out of your exercise but also avoid injury! ... Here is a video of some of our favourite warm up drills, after this we do 5-10mins warming up the specific movements we’ll be doing i.e. loaded squats/pull ups etc. If you’re simply going for a run you should be good to go after doing the drills in the vid Stretching prior to exercise has been shown in research to INCREASE the risk of injury, that is static stretching where you hold a sustained stretch for any length of time. A warm up should prepare the body for the movements it’s about to do, increase blood and oxygen circulation and take joints through their full range of movement. What are some of your favourite ways to warm up?
